Question:C'mon guys....any news on releasing Elites on Matty.com....?
You must be getting sick of all the disgruntled fans who can't find the product on their market shelves.
I'd gladly pay you $20 for an Elite instead of $40 off ebay or those parasites at Ringside Collectibles.
The commentary from the blogs tell the story of many wwe fans who can't buy their figures due to poor distribution. I go as far to say that worldwide, Mattel could be selling thousands more but are you really that interested in the increased sales....?
Killing off the Elite series in Canada and Australia (with a combined population of the UK) doesn't make sense at all.
You owe it to us to give us an alternative like Matty.com to complete our collections.....that's the responsible thing to do.
Answer:We hear your pain, we really do. And trust us, it wasn't out idea to stop selling Elites in any particular country. Ultimately it's up to the retailers to decide what they will carry. If they carry something and they're left with extra inventory, they won't order any more. It's as simple as that.
We are working on an online international solution that we hope to be able to announce at SDCC. Stay tuned!

I hope so because im absolutely sick of it. We have had no elites since series 8, no legends past series 3 (which hit in november 2010) and basics vary from being up to date in some parts of the country with others seeing none of the newer assortments. Apart from series 13 and 16, ive see no basics since series 6. The state of collecting is absolutely horrid and day by day is sucking more and more fun out of the hobby.
I cant find a thing in stores and then online is no better. Everywhere is charging an arm and a leg for practically every single figure. Not only is there shipping costs we have to absorb but the insanely high prices virtually wipe out any chance of purchasing things and particularly any more than the one or two figures here and there, a set seems like a distant distant possibility.
Not to mention we get limited lines and no international promotions so no mcmahons, no 1/1000s and no BAF or store exclusive sets.
I had to sound like we are constantly whinging but as a collector you can only take so much and I seriously do hope they have something lined up to fix it. Beyond the prices, theres just very little opportunity to purchase any of the product and its killing the hobby.

Well, even if they have product available, it's going to sell out so the complaining will shift to the websites not having stock.

I dont understand how International customers have such hard times. 9 times out of 10 there are people in the UK posting figure they've gotten weeks/months before Ive ever seen them here. If distribution was that bad, how are they getting them? Surely not all of them are paying a ton of money for them.

We still have the same difficulties as in the US, where things don't stick around long. There's basically a window of a few hours to grab new elites, and a lot of places tend to only get one delivery of them so if you don't get there in that window, you have to pay Ebay prices.

And UK only represents England Scotland Wales and Northen Ireland.

Really hope this actually comes to fruition. I've been able to get hold of most figures relatively easily but the one per cases give me a headache.

we'll just be paying somone elses inflated prices.... they'll probably knock off a few quid just to beat the usual online figure shops over here.

Id love to be able to go to the store and just buy them. It makes no sense, we got all the new DKR movie masters in canada, but we cant get any elites

That's good to hear. Even the speciality toy shops that bring in mattel are a rip-off here. US$40-55 per elite figure!
