Correct me if Im wrong. Get on wbay or something! Sure, you can get on eBay. But as many posters above have mentioned, you have to shell out serious cash to get those figures. There's no reason that we shouldn't be able to find these figures in stores. And I don't care to pay a lot for figures I really want. But Mattel has lost a lot of money from me because I haven't been able to buy very many figures due to the ridiculous online prices, and it's nearly impossible to find anything in stores.

Well with today's find of the RRH Hitman now the only figure I've yet to see at retail is the DM5 Cena (Found the Hitman once at WalMart) But unless it's a figure I preordered from RSC or something I've ordered from TRU.com, spamS, Amazon (non 3rd party) or Mattel's websites everything I get is mass retail. If I don't find it there then I just won't own it. I refuse to go to ebay or other scalper sites/shops.

The only way I got E14 Bossman was by going to RSC. I have never ever seen him in stores and I am glad I bought him there because if I didn't I'd still be looking for him.

I've seen Bossman at a few stores, but I only saw 2 Booker T's and they were together in the TRU display.

Correct me if Im wrong. Get on wbay or something! No. Target, is Elite 12 Randy Orton, BOElite Orton, one Elite Rey, flexforce twopacks. TRU: No elites at all. Every red basic Cena, Rock vs Cena, Rock Clock, flexforce. K-Mart, havent been there for a while, but it was all Sig Series, Elite 12 Orton, Elite 10 JoMo, TTTT. Other Walmart isnt bad. Last time I went there was a couple Elite 13 Sheamus, and some basics (ER Christian, Ortons, Reys, and Cenas) I barely order online. Next one is Bossman more then likely, ordered "Can't Be Named" a week ago.

Unless you live in Canada, where you only get 2 Elites from each line, half the Rumblers in each line, and your local Walmart stocks up for the fourth time with Basic Series 8.

Collecting is so easy nowadays....IF......
1. You have an endless amount of retail stores in your area that actually restock WWE figures on a regular basis. 2. Your area is not swamped with scalpers and "traders" ready to raid the aisles the second the door is unlocked at retail stores. 3. You are willing or can afford to pay anywhere from 2 to 5 times retail price online. 4. You are wiling and/or able to stay up between the hours 2 AM and 6 AM, constantly refreshing sites like Amazon and Mattel Shop in hopes that something new is added.
If this describes you or your area, then yeah, collecting probably is easy for you. Unfortunately, that's not how it works for everyone.

I'm 25 years old now. I've been collecting since the beginning of the Hasbro/Galoob run. And with that being said, we are so spoiled with the amount of figures available to us. I think anyone else who is my age or older would/should be telling you the same thing. I'm so tired of seeing these posts about poor distribution or slow store recievings. I remember back when the hasbros came out, you got maybe 4 sets a year. And personally, I liked it better that way. You could actually collect them all! You didn't have 500 repaints of the same figure. In 4 years of the Hasbro run, we got 5 Hulk Hogan figures and they were all different. Point of this post.....Let's be thankful for what we have and how far action figures have come. It could be a heck of alot worse than it is. I know it's frustrating when new sets are comming out and your store is still stocked with Elite series 6....Heck the newest figure in my area is basic 15. That's 5 basic sets behind already. Sooner or later though, basic 20 will be clogging the shelves. Be patient. You might not be the first person to find a new set, but sooner or later it will show up whether it be in stores or online. If it shows up online, you might have to pay double what retail is for it, but It is available. When I first started collecting, we didn't have that option to order it online because the internet didn't exist. And as I remember, some of the Hasbro sets were not easily found. That is all. Great post with some perspective. I'm 28 and was a hardcore Hasbro collector ... the thrill of the hunt was amazing as a kid, but also hard. It's refreshing to see a post not complaining about distribution. Think we could all stand to be less snarky around here (myself included)! Mark

Growing up I could only find Hasbros at Walmart, Kmart, Sky City and Target/Toys R Us if I was lucky enough to go to a larger city near by. Now if I cant find it at my two Walmarts, I just order it off line. So easy now days.

The only figures I had never seen were L6 Eddie (had to get it off Ebay, was like $25 w/shipping I think) and DM5 (got them from Mattel Shop.) I think also Basic 5 Cena but who cares, really?
But now RRH Bret, Shawn, Goldust, the Bellas, and the PPV Mark Henry have all been added to that list. And I have no desire to pay 2 or 3 times the retail price to a scalper for those. I have started to scour Ebay but there are way too many sellers who want way too much for those figures. And I have looked a ton of times in many stores for them.
So you're right, it's easy to get figures these days, if money is no object. You can get them before anyone else if you pay even more. But should we have to pay $30, $40, or $50 for wrestling figures? It's getting crazy.
I was lucky enough to find a Kelly Kelly at Target today for my niece's birthday. It was $11. Seeing online stores and Ebay sellers offering it for $40 is just sad - and what makes it worse is that people are paying that much!
If distribution was better, and scalpers dropped dead, we would all have cheaper wrestling figures. And that would be cool, cutting out the middle men.

Look guys, everyone keeps bringing up the points that if you have money you can buy whatever figures you want and location as well. Let me learn you something.....I live in Valley City, North Dakota. There are 7,000 people in my town and we have 1 store that carries wrestling figures. I also only work part time at a grocery store....I don't have millions of dollars. However, every figure that I have wanted in my collection is in my collection. Sometimes you have to be thrify with your money and pass on something else. Like I said before, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

You were 2 or 3 when the Hasbro series first started, and 6 or 7 when it ended, you weren't "collecting" back then.

IM going to be the same age in 2 weeks, I know exactly how things were back in the Hasbro days, going to the toy store and getting a new Hasbro figure was great and i did have almost all of them, To this day i still have a huge collection of them in very decent shape.
The distribution never bothers me because i can go other places either way its a drive for me to get anywhere, if not the internet has been good to me. my local walmart has had basic 13 for months along with elite 13 (Reys and 1 Sheamus) nut i know if i go to another area ill find something im looking for.

Very young still, but I remember every moment of searching for them. I had a large collection, which would make me a collector.

Sometimes it's not the Distribution or area that makes it tough but a persons personal life.
I'm a business owner and family man and time is a commodity that I just don't have much of sometimes.
Thanks to Networking and a Solid Community Circle I've been lucky. Speaking of which please check out the ICON Facebook link in my signature as we are looking to establish a Global Elite Community HQ to help make it easier to stay on top of your collection and all facets of the hobby.

Collecting sucks if you are 15 (yeah, my profile says 17, i clicked the wrong number) and live with parents, who RARELY let you buy things online, yet the parent buys online from Victorias Secret for clothes and crap, but wont let my buy a figure online. God, she says figures are over priced, but she buys from Victorias Secret. Sucks being this age.
