I'm 25 years old now. I've been collecting since the beginning of the Hasbro/Galoob run. And with that being said, we are so spoiled with the amount of figures available to us. I think anyone else who is my age or older would/should be telling you the same thing.
I'm so tired of seeing these posts about poor distribution or slow store recievings. I remember back when the hasbros came out, you got maybe 4 sets a year. And personally, I liked it better that way. You could actually collect them all! You didn't have 500 repaints of the same figure. In 4 years of the Hasbro run, we got 5 Hulk Hogan figures and they were all different.
Point of this post.....Let's be thankful for what we have and how far action figures have come. It could be a heck of alot worse than it is. I know it's frustrating when new sets are comming out and your store is still stocked with Elite series 6....Heck the newest figure in my area is basic 15. That's 5 basic sets behind already. Sooner or later though, basic 20 will be clogging the shelves. Be patient. You might not be the first person to find a new set, but sooner or later it will show up whether it be in stores or online. If it shows up online, you might have to pay double what retail is for it, but It is available. When I first started collecting, we didn't have that option to order it online because the internet didn't exist. And as I remember, some of the Hasbro sets were not easily found.
That is all.

I agree. There are so many ways to get figures, it's really easy. We have online websites, classifieds section and eBay. I've been able to find every figure at retail.

Sometimes it takes some searching and time, but sooner or later is shows up. I guess I can't say I have found every figure at retail (DM 5 and some of the elite sets come to mind) but every figure I didn't find at retail is available somewhere online and can be on my doorstep within a week if I wanted it bad enough.

I'll probably get a new basic series at Walmart in 5 months, and never Elite series. They just restocked B13.

Been there man, but the great thing about Mattel WWE is that there figures are sold at pretty much every store that carries toys. So, yeah that Wal-Mart of yours is stocked with outdated figures, but check K-Mart, Target, Kohl's, TRU, heck even some gas stations and hardware stores have them. They are out there, just have to take the time to search.

Awesome collection! Like stated above, if your stores don't carry them, the internet is a great place to find them. Keep up the awesome work!

Flexforce has so much, it took over the Elite shelves, same with basic

i live in a small redneck town on the eastcoast. Distribution is a joke. But when i was a kid I lived in NYC.....and I had a store that sold wrestling figures. They literally had every LJN and Hasbro. It really depends where u live. You are right though. There isn't a figure that u can't get. If u have straight cash homie $$$$$
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

I understand what your staying, but much technology has improved alot since 1990. If there was the technology that we have back then I am sure you would see more figures. So while a am grateful for how many figures "come out" I am not happy about the stores shelves being bare all the time.

being available is one thing. having to pay double, triple or more than retail is another. if the items were available on mattelshop, toys r us.com, ect at retail prices and not just for 2 hrs starting at 4am, there would be less complaining.
so yes, you are right. EVERYTHING is available. as long as youre willing to be gouged to get it.

I thought it was much easier during the BCA/TTL days.
I think there were only 2 or 3 figures I never found. Plus, they were under $10.

Trust me i know what u mean.. ive been there. When i was 14 i had just come into my BIG wrestling phase..so immeditaly i wanted figs to emulate matches... so happens HASBRO was declining in the late 95-96 era.. (Bend-ems took over) Anyhow, ill never forget going to KAY-BEE toy stores and making my first purchase..I was overjoyed when finding them because my best friend then had probaly 20 figures becuz he loved wrestling.. i remember alwasy wanting his Bret Hart and Hogan..lol. I managed to find Undy , Headshrinkers, Giant Gonzalez and Bushwackers along with the coveted Shawn Michales figure(my fav.) Boy was i happy because the HASBRO line basically was took off shelves after about 3 months after i started collecting them.. AOL was in its infancy.. no outlet chains or RSC to get figs from, so if you didnt have them at KB or TRU then you were screwed thats the one thing i hated..luckly i had enough by this time to have a Fig fed and play hapily ever after...also with WCW figs too..lol

distribution for Mattel is a damn joke. Sure there are various ways to get them but at what cost?
I remember back in the day when I could find Hasbro figures at every supermarket I went to. Even the local 7-11's had them for like USD$3

They make too much now in my opinion. Hasbros were nice because they only made so many series a year so you would eaily find them eventually and if you missed out you had ample time to get them. Now if you miss them or the store never gets them to begin with you may have quite a few series that have been skipped because of it. I love being able to walk into a store and buy something new because it's fun, but now I have to walk to my computer screen and place an order because it will never show up around me and that's not fun.

Sure, you can get about any figure online, but not without paying an arm and a leg for it. Mattel, while their figures are great; their distribution is absolutely ridiculous. I, not even kidding, haven't seen an Elite other than Cena or E12 Orton on a store shelf in months.

Sometimes it depends on your stores, but it is pretty easy to get figures now. It's still hard for some people, I agree with you though.

I agree, with websites like EBay & amazon it helps a lot to grab figures for great prices. And I've seeen all the figures I need at retail.
