On the night of June 25th, my family and I left for a 12 hour drive to New Jersey. It was perfect because the 17th was my birthday, which meant that I had lots of money to spend! We were there until July 1st. With the bad distribution in Canada, I HAD to take every opportunity for figure hunting that I could. I did. During our 12 hour ride, there was one 24-Hour Wal-Mart in Batavia, NY, which was on our route, so I had to pass by.
Picked these up:
I went to many Wal-Marts, Targets, TRUs and K-Marts in New Jersey. I'm not going to be descriptive as to where and when I got these:
To cut our 12 hour drive in almost half, we booked a hotel in Rochester, NY. During our ride, I passed by Pro Wrestling World, which was a store in Allentown, PA just for WWF/WWE stuff!
I WAS IN HEAVEN! ... for about 45 mins
Here is their website: www.rasslers.us/html/the_store.html . Pics on that website do not do the place justice! Outside of the store, is sort of like a museum. They had ring worn attires, signed magazines and action figures. It was amazing! I could've spent 3 hours in that place, but we were in a rush. They had a deal that with every MOC figure you buy, you get a free magazine and a free loose action figure. Got 2 MOC figures. They also had a deal that any magazine priced below $5, would become $1. Picked up another 28 magazines. Also, a WCW car was inlcuded free with purchase.
Thanks to fellow member, 'frood', who recommended that I should go there. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have gone there!
I picked these up at that store:
Here's a video I took outside the store of what they had. It's really rushed, but at least you get the just of it.
Now at Rochester.
Those who post in the WF: Canada board, especially member yeetman13 , know I like to go to Value Villages, which is a thrift store that is great to find WWF/WWE stuff. In the US, the thrift store is called 'Savers'. There were two locations in the Rochester area. I HAD to go to one, so I did. It was on a good day too. They were having a 25% off sale. I found three bags of figs for $2.99 each, but with the 25% off sale, I ended up paying less than a dollar for each figure:
At a TRU in Rochester, I picked up this wall clock on clearance for $15. It looks great on the wall because both my MOC figures and the clock have the red and black design.
The rest of my Rochester pick-ups:
We also stayed in Buffalo for one night. Didn't have that many shopping opportunities as we were all tired and running out of money, but these are what I picked up in Buffalo.
I had only 20 dollars left, and one store left to go to in Buffalo before going home. Being a big fan of Rumblers and K-Mart was having a BOGO 50%off sale, I got these two playsets for $19 and some change.
I also picked up these DVDs from various stores in NJ, and NY:
My haul minus the DVDs. [That big Stone Cold doll towards the right is not part of the haul]
