I needed a new ring for my pic fed, but found the Mattel basic ring to be far too small for mattels. I cut the ring into four corners and used brackets and bolts to keep the base sturdy. The canvas is the Jakks Hardcore ring, which is 15x15 itself, so with the black plastic apron, its a little bigger than that. I plan to eventually to get some wood to make the canvas bigger, and I also ordered some black and yellow 3mm elastic cord for a new set of ropes. I guess the ropes are a little shorter than I like but I feel it works quite well for the pic fed. I will cover up gaps with black paper, until I can figure out how to make a cloth apron. I would like to give Josh credit for the idea behind, his is better executed though.

I did the same thing with the Jakks Spring ring awhile back to make it 18x18. Looks good!

Thanks guys.
I was surprised the base was so sturdy after I was done. It's a simple idea but it works.

That's a pretty cool idea, might have a crack at that myself. I've just bought some blue elastic cord for my ESR.

Could you please explain your designs?
I'm currently working on one based off the initial appearance of yours by sawing mine in the middle on all for sides, filing down the inside rimming, & screwing in cross beams of equal height to give me an 18x18 ring, but I don't understand how your ropes are holding so well.

I'm not sure how the ropes/posts are so sturdy either. It literally is just those metal plates screwed down with countersunk nuts and bolts.
