As of this writing, here are the top matches currently being discussed for WWE SummerSlam next month. As always, things can change as nothing has been officially announced for the event.
-Triple H vs Brock Lesnar
-CM Punk vs John Cena for the WWE Title
-Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat Match for the World Title
-Daniel Bryan vs Chris Jericho

All i want is every big name to get a spot on the card with no one being left off. So as long as these names get a spot on the card in any kind of way its all good:
HHH
Lesnar
Punk
Cena
Sheamus
Kane
Big Show
Bryan
Barrett (Returning prior too the PPV)
Henry (Returning prior too the PPV)
Del Rio
Mysterio
Orton
Jericho
PTP
Jimmy Boom
Ziggler
Rhodes
Miz
Christian
From that list we could get and probably will get Lesnar/HHH, Cena/Punk, Sheamus/Big Show/Kane/Bryan/Barrett/Henry, Christian/Miz, Diva match, PTP/Jimmy Boom, Orton/Jericho, Del Rio/Mysterio and throw in a 6 Man Tag where whoever scores the winning fall gets Dolph's MITB and obviously have Dolph go over here thus keeping his MITB.

Sounds like a hell of a card. Hope it's true.
But I just have a (disgusted) gut feeling Cena will defeat Punk on RAW. And then have a stare down with Rock to close the show, leading to their rematch at Summer Slam. Hope I'm wrong.

I honestly dont want to see any more of ADR in the Main Event, /Sheamus last Sunday was so boring IMO.
After Mondays segment, Id love to see Jericho/Ziggler at 1000th RAW then follow up at Summer Slam in a Ladder Match for the MITB briefcase. Let Ziggler build up a bit before just throwing him into a random match for no reason.

Jericho vs. Ziggler
Mysterio vs. ADR (Stip added)
and a Daniel Bryan match. Maybe against Kane or Christian.

This is what I see happening.
Cena vs. Punk
Bryan vs. Kane (Possibly in a street fight or something)
Jericho vs. Ziggler
And Obviously HHH vs Lesnar.

Cena and Punk does not need to happen at Summerslam for Christs sake. We are going to see it Monday man god. He does not need to be anywhere near the title.

As cool as the idea of Bryan/ Jericho sounds...hold off.
I'd rather see Ziggler/ Jericho and Bryan/ Kane. Ziggler should wait some more to be Champ and be built up. He's only been taken seriously like what, a month?

Why would Ziggler be in a triple threat with Del Rio and Sheamus when he has the case? I guess he earns a shot in the match, loses, and then cashes in right after the match is over? That's kind of ridiculous but it would be different I suppose.
Sans Punk vs Cena, I don't really see any of those happening tbh.

Why in the world would they go with a Sheamus/ADR/Ziggler triple threat match ? that makes zero sense.Sheamus just beat ADR clean and now he's feuding with a returning Rey Mysterio.While Ziggler has the MITB which means he can choose his time and place for a title match.So why would be want to be apart of a triple threat match or would be be able to be in the triple threat without using the contract ? then you throw in what went down on RAW with Jericho.Terrible idea that I highly doubt happens.
Here's what I think the card will be.
Brock Lesnar .Vs Triple H
CM Punk .Vs John Cena-WWE Title
Sheamus .Vs A Returning Randy Orton or Wade Barrett-World Title
Rey Mysterio .Vs Alberto Del Rio
Chris Jericho .Vs Dolph Ziggler
Daniel Bryan .Vs Kane
Christian .Vs The Miz-IC Title
Kofi Kingston and R-Truth .Vs Prime Time Players-WWE Tag Team Titles
With the possibility of Big Show been thrown into the WWE Title match to make it a triple threat and maybe Cody Rhodes getting the World Title shot against Sheamus if Orton and or Barrett aren't back in time for SummerSlam.

I highly doubt that The Rock wrestle at SummerSlam.But if he somehow does I would love to see him face CM Punk one on one for the WWE Title while Cena finally finishes off his feud with the Big Show.I could also really dig a triple threat of Punk/Cena/Rock for the title as well. |

I guess I would be fine with that however why would it be a triple threat with ADR/Dolph/Sheamus when Jericho just attacked Dolph and Rey came back to seemingly start another feud with ADR?
That makes me believe that it will be:
*Dolph v Jericho
*Mysterio v Del Rio
*WHT: Sheamus v Orton [or Cody if the WWE doesn't want to reward Orton so soon *please don't!*]
*WWE Title: Punk v Cena [maybe add Show...?]
*Main Event: HHH v Lesnar
Those are the 5 matches I can really see being booked.
I would add 2 or 3 of the following:
*IC Title: Christian v Bryan
*US Title: Santino v Miz or any combo of Miz and other mid carders.
*Divas Title: Layla v AJ
Or if they want to add more guys in one match they can do a 6 or 8 man tag. I am pretty sure they had a 6 man tag last year that wasn't even advertised. It would be nice if they did advertise it but I doubt they would..
