I like how they completely made Punk refreshing again while still in a 8 month title reign. That's what made cenas year long reign so boring and drawn out. No change at all during it.

I don't really know if Punk is heel though. I think people are jumping the gun way too fast saying "Oh my God, Punk turned heel!!!"
Sure, he laid out Rocky with a GTS, doesn't meant he's a heel.
Until next week on Raw, when he comes out and insults the fans, that is the only way you will know if he's a heel or not.

It made a bit of sense, I'll give it that, not that I wanted to see it happen by any means.
This doesn't have to be a full fledged heel turn, either.
Like others have said, this could just be bringing his edge back. He's been the third wheel for months EVEN as the WWE Champion, I could see why he lashed out at Rock, and left Cena be.
Preservation of the title.

he excels as a heel, so happy! Hope it doesn't mean he will drop the title to a face anytime soon.

As much as I think it's very early to turn CM Punk heel for a Match that's half a year away yet, it gives him time to become a mega heel. But he has a lot of reason that will help him in this case. The fact that he's been WWE Champion for such a long time and yet John Cena is still consistently closing the Show. He's just got to be careful that it doesn't turn him face.
I think he'll end up facing Austin at Wrestlemania, as I don't really know who else he could face.

Heel Punk is gonna be great tv, but this is the WWE. He will probably just be another obstacle for Cena to overcome.

I don't think he will turn face after a speech. I think his actions will speak for themselves. I wouldn't be suprised at all if next week he tags with Big Show against Cena and Bryan

Punk's actions made him seem like a disgruntled face, or a tweener at best. King is the one that turned Punk into a heel. The live audience was mixed, but the viewers watching at home had their decision made for them by Lawler. I don't know if that was WWE's intention, or King just screwed up. It's not like he doesn't have a habit of doing that. |
