1. 2003 Hulk. I didn't mind it when I first saw it, but when I tried to rewatch it, I just couldn't make it 30 minutes into the movie. It was just mind numbingly dull.
2. Elektra. Horrible. To be fair, I really shouldn't have expected much but it just sucked. I worked at a movie theater at the time and didn't have to pay for it thankfully.
3. Catwoman. I just remember when she goes to break glass to steal a jewel, the glass shatters before she touches it. But what a mess that movie was.
4. X-Men Origins Wolverine. Filled with SO MANY mistakes. Plot holes out the ass, and they muted Deadpool. What the hell is the purpose of putting Deadpool in a movie if you're going to mute him? And it was also a huge let down because of the high expectations I had, just like my number five. Neither are terrible movies, but the expectations going into them really hurt it for me.
5. X-Men 3: The Last Stand. I've always been a huge X-Men fan and they are my favorite comic book franchise. The first was awesome, the second was even better, so I had high hopes for this one and it just blew all kinds of chunks. One of those cases where it was so bad, they had wait 5 years before touching the franchise again.

A lot of the bad ones I haven't seen.... just for the fact that they are supposedly THAT bad. Never seen Steel or Catwoman and don't really want to.
IMO the worst has to be Jonah Hex. Just a horrible, horrible movie.

2003 Hulk Daredevil Howard The Duck
That's all I can think of. That being said I'd still at least add the 2003 Hulk and Daredevil to my movie collection, just because.

I completely forgot about that train wreck. Yeah, are we even counting stuff like this, Punisher 89, or Captain America 90. Steel falls into the same boat IMO. These movies didn't even try. Catwoman Wolverine - ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) this pile of sh*t movie for dumping all over "Deadpool" (I loved Reynolds as WW though) Spider-man 3 LOXG Hulk I think the Daredevil Director's Cut is a good flick.

In descending order, each getting worse...
Batman Begins Hulk 2003 Elektra Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Catwoman
That's only counting ones I've seen. I haven't seen a lot of those really bad early 90s movies.

Out of what I've seen:
1. Hulk 2. Ghost Rider 3. X3 4. Daredevil 5. Green Lantern
B&R is not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. Sure it's bad, but it's all in fun.

Original Fantastic Four(1994, had to be bootlegged and can be blammed for Marvel not retaining the rights to the Fantastic Four for movies) ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c6/Ffmovie1994.jpg) What a cast... Original Captain America(1990) Spiderman 3 was just utter garbage Red Sonja Batman and Robin Also to be fair I have never seen a Ghost Rider movie, the newer Fantastic Fours, Green Lantern, Catwoman, Elektra, and I reserve the right to keep Superman IV and Howard the Duck off for late night viewing fun.

when you look back..... .whoo boy there has been some savage stinkers.....so whats your top 5 worst?also try to keep it to widespread cinematic releases....if we venture into the "direct to TV zone" we would be seriously demoralised. ok so heres mine in no order.I mean I got NO joy from these whatsoever. 1)Catwoman 2)Hulk 2003 3)Ghost Rider II 4)Superman III 5)Batman & Robin I could stretch it to ten but these represent the absolute WORST IMHO. Personally, I don't think there have been a lot of bad adaptations. Of Marvel's modern run of 27 films (beginning with Blade in '98), there were only 2 bombs: Man-Thing and Elektra. DC doesn't quite have Marvel's shine, but there were 3 disasters: Catwoman, Batman & Robin, and Steel. Even the oft-mentioned Jonah Hex wasn't that bad. At least they tried to capture some of the comic's feel. If you want true assaults-on-the-senses, modern cinematic releases aren't the places to look. You have to venture back to a time when comics weren't taken seriously, and the desolate outer rim of films . If you are brave: 3 Dev Adam: A Turkish film where Captain America and El Santo take on the (inexplicably villainous and depowered) Spider-man The Amazing Spider-man (1977)- Peter Parker, in what is essentially a cheap Halloween costume, swings on ropes and jumps on bad guys backs. Captain America (1979)- Captain America is little more than a strong guy who rides on a motorcycle with a brightly colored helmet. Vampirella- looks like a old XXX movie, only without the nudity. I've thankfully blocked out most of my memories of this flick. Batman (1966), as awful as Batman & Robin was, this "movie" (and the nauseating TV series for that matter) makes even the worst modern bomb look like high art. The Fantastic 4 (1994). A low budget exercise in futility. And if you still want more punishment, I've noticed that the movies based on the excruciating Hulk TV series are now on DVD. There is nothing like watching a bodybuilder in fading paint and a bad wig (with no dialogue) to make me want to spend money. ![::)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/rolleyes.gif)

Good list. As you can see by my post, it's hard for me to criticize many big budget adaptations because I remember a time when comic book movies were afterthoughts made with shoestring budgets. The Ghost Riders, new FFs, and Green Lantern were all better-than-average, just flawed in places. They are all worth at least one viewing.

Batman Forever Batman and Robin Punisher Warzone Howard the Duck Elektra Out of the ones ive seen id say those Punisher Warzone > The Punisher It understood the Punisher better than the Tom Jane adaptation. Is it ridiculous? Yes. Is the Punisher ridiculous? YES. It was the Punisher killing people the way he normally does. It wasn't amazing, but oh well. The director went to Punisher fans and got a ton of input for it since she didn't understand the character, and it worked.

Tom Jane's was better. Sure it wasnt perfect punisher but it was a better movie. Nolan's batman is hardly batman but they are good movies.
