If only for a day, the Republican party has won my love. Their (near) unanimous support for Dr. Ron Paul's "Audit the Federal Reserve" Bill was incredible. This is truly a monumental moment for the financial future of this country.
The Federal Reserve bank is a privately-owned business which has controlled the currency of the United States since its creation despite having zero regulation from Congress.
Here is former Fed chairman Alan Greenspan speaking about the relationship between the Federal Reserve bank and the government:
FINAL VOTE RESULTS FOR ROLL CALL 513

Now that is a thread I can get behind. Can't participate due to my unmanliness, but I did enjoy.

If anyone is against this bill, can you give an explanation of WHY? Ask Herman Cain.

Fantastic news. To me, the federal reserve is one of the scariest things about modern day America. Can't wait to see what this brings about.

I would like to believe something will come of this, and I know the banks and Wall Street are frightened by this.
People borrow money from banks. Banks have very little actual money, so they in turn borrow the money from the government to cover your loan, therefore people are essentially borrowing money from themselves, and paying interest on it. A lot of people already know this, but it isn't very common knowledge. The banks definitely don't want you to know this.
But honestly, let's talk about Triple H's chest hair.

Sounds like the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, is planning on blocking this bill from being even voted on in the Senate.
Rand Paul is planning on countering this by pairing other pieces of legislation with the "Audit the Fed" bill, in order to make certain that it gets voted on.
OHHHHHHHHHHHH POLITICS.

How politicians talk to each other reminds me Shepard Smith's comments at the end of this video.
Stating "I acknowledge the work my friend from North Dakota has done but..." is pretty much saying "I understand what you want to do, however someone is paying me take a dump on your Sunday paper so that's the better of these two ideas to me."
Can we have people with aspergers run government? I mean I think they understand more social cues than politicians do.

You shoving him down everyone's throats on a toy forum begging to be argued with does though. I won't say anything negative about the man, as I'm pretty sure...no ing positive it'll result in my banning. Either way. Obama ftw. Get over it.
