When i think of the Von Erichs, i think of David, Kevin and Kerry. No disrespect towards Mike or Chris btw. David for me was the best in the ring and had the best interview and it would be great to complete my von erichs set with David. Anyone else want the same?

Definitely want him. I can cobble Mattel-scale Freebirds so Kerry and Kevin need David too.

I have a very large problem with David Von Erich not standing next to his two brothers. I would be happy to have it as a build a fig even. just find some way to make this happen.

why stop there though? If we were lucky enough to get the Von Erich boys, I'd surely want their arch-rivals to display alongside ~ yes the Fabulous Freebirds!

I am a big fan of "characters" that have never been immortalized in plastic. David von Erich would have gotten the big gold belt instead of Kerry had he not passed. This would be a must have.

But I too would LOVE a Freebirds set. Their feud was great cause it wasn't a feud between Texas n' Georgia, it was a feud between decency n' filth. ;D But I Highly doubt we'll get any of em anytime soon.  |

I'm not sure if it's my age, or territory, but I, for one, wouldn't want a David Von Erich. I was never interested in the Von Erich family. I did, however, snag both Kerrys and Kevin during the initial Kmart clearance.

I'd love it, a great deal, but it's never going to happen. The two Kerry figures are two of my favorites Mattel has ever done, especially the WCCW version in the white.

Was a huge fan of David's at the time of his death, and Kerry's NWA title win in his honor was one of the most emotional events in the business in the '80s. That said, our best chance of getting David would have been with the release of Kerry and Kevin. With Legends bombing, I can't see him having the name value among today's general fan base for a Flashback--which will probably continue to focus on the stars of the early '90s and the Attitude Era. Try and pick it up. Theres a brilliant feature on it with gary hart explaining that famous plane crash. The main documentary on WCCW though is great and very sad. |
