Ok this is kind of a rant and also would like to hear your guys thoughts and advice on this.
So I purchased basic 21 MOC Beth Phoenix from amazon. It wasnt from an amazon seller it was direct from Amazon has I was able to catch one when amazon restocked basic 21 a week ago. Ok so I know amazons track record of not the best packing. Pervious purchase, namely basic 20 Natalya, arrived in horrible shape partly because it was packed in a bubble envelope with not packing material, but the damage was done by the handling at the post office. Ok I was a little peeved but was able to bend it back into an acceptable shape. *Note I am a very picky MOC collector so I love my packaging as best as possible. So I figured Basic 21 Beth would come the same way!! Oh hell was I wrong lol. They shipped beth in a box that was the exact size of the bubble on the basic 21 packaging. So in order to make it fit they legit bent the entire top card over the bubble so it would fit. MAN WAS I FURIOUS!!!!!! So at this moment I have books sitting on top of the carding to bend it back into some what shape.
*Problem 2 I just now realized that Mattel made a packaging error with the basic 21 beth. They forgot to include her freaking shoulder pad spikes, the same ones that are on basic 20 Natalya. This is easily the worst purchase I have ever made. So now I have to get ahold of mattel to inform them of this and hopefully get reimbursed for the figure since it was missing the shoulder pads.
I was hoping I could get some of your guys feedback on when you had to contact mattel to get reimbursed for something that was wrong with your figure. Was it easy? What all information did you have to give? How long did it take for you to get the reimbursement?
I have included some pictures so you can see the figure.
This is what the card on the figure looks like after its had books sitting on it for 2 days.
You can clearly see no shoulder pads!
You can actually see the little bump above her shoulder where the pad should sitting!
You can see the entire bubble is still sealed, so its not someone trying to pull a fast one haha!
