DISCLAIMER: This is the FIRST (and probably last) diva/valet figure I buy so please consider this when reading my review
Miss Elizabeth has arrived...and well...here we go:
First off, this is the only figure I really wanted from E19 since I don't collect the current roster and although I didn't grow up with the WWF, Miss Elizabeth has a place in wrestling history next to the Macho Man so I had to get her figure regardless. I bought E19 in it's entirety because it was the only way to get her at a cheap price considering what she's going for on the secondary market. Was it worth it though?
First off, she's in regular Elite packaging which made her size even more diminutive. Sure it's in-scale, but when you consider the $ she costs and will cost, then all the terrible qualities glare back at you.
Why does she have a fist?
Why are her arms toned like modern muscular Divas? I know MDT used existing molds, but this is Elizabeth! Surely they could have sculpted lesser defined arms.
Why does she not have a peg hole at the bottom of her shoe so she can be attached to a Mattel stand like everyone else?
What's the point in having official WWE Mattel stands (in deluxe-level risers no less) when you can't even attach her to it?
Why does my Elizabeth have a slight bobble-head?
And the worst crime is - why does she not have the standard hand articulation!!!?? her pre-posed hands are so awkwardly placed it's disappointing. And yes, I know it was done for aesthetic reasons.
I do like that MDT did not give her swivel joints at the calves, and it must have been hard to mass produce her dress design at this scale. But that's about the only redeeming qualities I can find.
Her famous WMIV pose is a little promiscuous:
And for those wondering, yes she can partake in a bra & panties match...in the 1930s!
oops how did that sneak in there?
Anyways, I'm disappointed, she's definitely not worth $20 - but I needed to have her in my display with the Macho Man for completeness.
This one is just a Miss.
