This is a very interesting question. I would say if Hogan vs. Hart still went to SummerSlam: a) Luger would not have turned face b) Yokozuna would not have been near the main event. It was kind og hard to tell the year going into 1993, but IMO Vince should have used to 1993 to give Yokozuna a monster push outside of the title picture. 1993 could have looked like this: - Savage wins Rumble, Yokozuna dominates a singles match against maybe Big Boss Man - Have Hart vs. Savage at WM 9, Yokozuna dominates match against Bob Backlund - Hart defend title against Ramon at KOTR, Yokozuna wins KOTR - Hogan vs. Hart at SummerSlam, Hart retains, Yokozuna dominates a singles match against - Yokozuna vs. Hart at Survivor Series, Yoko wins title.

This would be nice, but we would assume here that WM9 would go down as is, with Yoko beating Bret and then Hogan taking the title, logically setting up Bret/Hogan at SummerSlam. So Yoko would have had to play the foil here to Hogan and I would think do a job at KOTR to set up SummerSlam. Maybe we would have seen a Yoko/Undertaker feud in the summer/fall of 93 once Taker was done with Giant Gonzalez? I think its suffice to say that Hogan refusing to job to Bret benefitted Yokozuna more than anyone. Who woulda thought?

i have to disagree... while it it well talked about that it is likely the original plan was for hulk to drop the belt to bret at summer slam and then work a program with giant gonzalaz feed us one more awesome hulk vs a giant match while bret maybe feuded with yoko perhaps, it was hulk that pushed to fix what he had originally for whatever stupid reason did to yoko and hulk was right to decide to job the title back to yoko... as a hulk fan ill admit him beating yoko after yoko beat hart at wrestle mania was stupid... that title reign was admittedly one of hulks low points as he was really lazy during it which upset me... not the hulk of old as i saw it. i think if hulk had not nixed the jobbing the belt to bret idea it would have ruined yoko as a thret in the eyes of fans... and likely make yoko a comic foot note much like hbk ruined vader in wwf. but wrestling could have had a lot of changes had it gone the other way also... would of been hard to recapture yokos steam as a big bad guy ( again think vader... he was a killer in wcw and hbk not jobbing the belt to him turned vader in to a comic footnote in wwf) but would have given us a great match of power vs technical knowledge with Bret legitimizing himself as a true main eventer with a win over hulk... but it would have also meant that undertakes wrestle mania streak would have ended at wrestle mania 9 as originally planed had (hogan agreed to job to Bret) setting up gonzalaz as a major threat and a major opponent to hogan by survivor series. but thats just my 2 cents
