While I thought Henderson clearly won the first fight, I thought Edgar clearly won the second fight. Either way, both fights were very close.

Round 1 Hendo (Clearly) Round 2 Edgar (Clearly) Round 3 is the hardest round of the fight to score so i gave it a draw Round 4 Edgar (Clearly) Round 5 is again a close round but i gave it to Edgar.
There is a argument for Hendo winning round 3 but even so Edgar still wins on my scorecard.

I scored the fight 49-46 for Edgar. I'm not a huge fan of either guy, so I was total unbiased. Really felt like Frankie won.

I thought Frankie won the fight but neither fighter really did enough to take the fight for me to consider it a robbery either way.

Something desperately needs to be done about judging at this point.

you guys want something done about the judging? Tell the fighters to go finish fights Good night of fights but the only thing on my mind now is Diaz/Heenderson. Thats going to be a great fight.

the 2 judges that scored in favor of henderson had rounds 1, 3 and 4 for him. as you would expect, the judge who scored in favor of edgar, had the final 4 rounds to frankie.

Henderson did good if you wanted to score the fight as a whole, but that's not how American MMA is scored. It's scored round-by-round, and I thought it was very clear that Edgar was the winner.

round by round, on the whole, one punch at a time... i still had henderson winning. im sure that wasnt directed at me, regardless though. and still, judging is subjective as hell... some judges like cage control more, some like striking, some like the power brought with striking. henderson was clearly stronger, and his shots landed harder. i just presented the numbers to continue to fuel the fire.

Edgar was pushing more and he looked like he wanted to win the rounds more. The closest round to me was round 3, which I just barely scored for Edgar, but it could have gone to Henderson. Even so, I still had Edgar winning clearly.
I hardly ever use fight-metric anymore. Numbers aren't everything.

agreed, i honestly dont care for them at all in mma, with how much takedowns, ground work and cage control are factored into scoring. but with judging being a complete opinion, they do lend some credibility to some arguments. alas, by the time jones/hendo rolls around at 151, everyone will forget about the scoring of this fight [except frankie edgar probably] and move on to the next cluster that occurs at that ppv.

The entire concept of "don't leave it to the judges" is ri- ing-diculous. Why? Why can't professional fighters trust "professional judges" to call their fights properly? I understand that judging is subjective and everyone has their certain quirks and things they look for in a fight, but there are certain cases when it's beyond subjective and downright bull , Hamill/Bisping, Phan/Garcia I, Machida/Shogun I, and now you can add Edgar/Henderson II to the same list.

I'd actually have to disagree with that. The fights you mentioned were far worse than Bendo/Edgar II. While I do feel Edgar earned the decision, rounds 3/4 weren't exactly decisive for Edgar. And considering how subjective MMA judging is, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Granted, I've only seen Hamill/Bisping and Shogun/Machida once. Phan/Garcia is probably the biggest joke I've seen. I'd classify those as true robberies.

I don't know. Bendo/Edgar II was pretty bad. It was very clear to me (after multiple viewings) that Edgar won 4 rounds (3 rounds if you give round three to Henderson).
Shogun/Machida I was extremely close, too. Maybe even closer than the fight at 150. But even then it was clear to me Shogun won. It's possible to have competitive fights and still have a clear winner.

I love Ben Henderson, and he is one of my favorite fighters, but I had him losing that fight 49-46, or maybe 48-47. While the fight-metric may have said one thing, I thought the fight clearly went the other way. As a Bendo fan, I can't say I'm upset. Now I'm looking forward to seeing him (hopefully) destroy Diaz.

I looked at the fight-metric, and it actually says Edgar landed more strikes, and more takedowns.

I had Edgar winning 49-46... it was very close/competitive throughout though so I wasn't surprised at the split-decision. Neither guy dominated the fight so I don't think you can really call it a bad decision or robbery.
I hope Frankie moves to FW now... there's not much point in staying at LW, as he'll be at the back of the queue. Aldo needs a credible/high-profile opponent too, so it's a win-win situation.

I dont know man. Im not a Diaz fan by no means but he won me over in his last 4 fights. The guy looks like a whole different Machine now. I dont think Hendo can take him/

Frankie needs to finish a fight. I'm tired of guys complaining about judges scoring in a fairly close fight.
