I am not sure how anyone in ROH can come off as anything but dull considering hardly anyone has an opportunity to give more than a 2 minute promo once every month or so. I tend to appreciate their talent in the ring more than their limited personalities. Adam Cole gave basically the same promo every time I saw him as champion, but I appreciate his and Elgin's ring time much more. The only ones who seem to get opportunities are/were Truth Martini and Jay Briscoe (I will not even discuss Mark Briscoe). Jay Lethal does a good job in limited opportunities. I think Elgin and Titus Young put on a great match with intensity and hard hitting styles that were expected of them. Wait, let me put on my commando vest before I get stabbed. *Silas Young And it had the intensity, hard hitting styles and the pointless bullsh-t (let's do a table spot for no reason!) that were expected of them. |

I cannot say I understand the table spot either, but other than that, what did you expect of them? Not being funny or smart ass, just want to know how you think it could have been better. They come off as tough guys, able to absorb punishment and dish it out.

I heard it was a great match, what I got wasn't a great match. It was standard fare Michael Elgin bullsh-t with no real rhyme or reason to any of the stuff he did in the last two thirds of the match. Silas was easily the better dude in the ring but he wasn't going to save that match. I think part of the problem was giving them 30 minutes. Way too much time for the guys involved.

I agree that it did not need to be a 30 minute match. A champion should not need 30 minutes (TV time) to beat the 10th guy in line for the title (my opinion of his rank). About 11:15 PM, I said to myself "This is going another 13 minutes?" (since it generally ends at 11:28). I would have preferred a 3rd good match inserted.

Could be the case but if he's expected to sign or at least be regular with them, he should be at the show in Baltimore.

According to Mike Johnson - PWInsider.com - Michael Elgin is back in the United States and will be working Saturday's Ring of Honor event in Kalamazoo, Michigan. (Bandit - guess someone at the border intercepted his invitation to Michael Bennetts Bachelor Party which is this Thursday in Merrionette, Illinois.)
