more tripe today......heads still firmly planted in Europe and not watching whats going on at home.a Man U fan asked me in the bookies this morning what way to bet on Celtic in an accumulator and I told him to go for an ICT win.
I KNEW this would happen today.

Hibs really need to take their chances if there's going to be a close run title challenge this season, (I suppose you can include Aberdeen in it now) two weeks in a row now they've made a hash of it.

Can I post in here about the first division?
Comfortable performance from thistle against livi, needed that after the Hamilton fiasco. At least Graeme smith kept a clean sheet, that'll do his confidence the world of good.
Looks like morton are creeping into this title race, only 4 points of the top.

Meh, we had no chance after going down to ten men. First time we've lost at firhill this season. Graeme smith saved us today though, got to give him that. Missing a penalty was a kick in the nuts though.
Celtic score? Whoah. If they don't beat spartak on Wednesday, more fans could be calling for lennons head.

absolutely unbelievable dirt!! what the is happening Lennon? It's amazing watching Celtic's progress, AND lack of, this season. The Champions League games are obviously huge and they have been matched with huge performances by the players, but, the lack of progress in the league has been totally dumbfounding. I said at the beginning of the season that Celtic's mindset would dictate how this season panned out and I think I have been right so far. They seem to think that domestic affairs will take care of themselves, and after today, it looks like that is certainly Lennon's position. I reckon if Celtic win against Spartak, they will at least keep the tie close and likely go through. If they end up in the Europa League, I think they will get beat, badly. I don't think Lennon can motivate against the smaller teams and relies on the occasion to do that for him. I was engrossed in the Rangers administration and liquidation and at the start of the season, they were all I could really focus on in Scottish football, because it was exciting. I've hardly given them a second thought lately because the SPL has been so good, and so close. I really can't wait for the rest of this season to pan out. After the draw today, it's put us in a sticky situation with injuries and having the extra game, but I am absolutely delighted to still be in the cup. What I'm not looking forward to is sitting on a minibus to Motherwell back up the road for 1AM Draw for the next round at 1PM on Monday, down to Motherwell on the Tuesday and hopefully into the next round, then down to Edinburgh on Saturday. Hopefully Tynecastle is a sellout. The atmosphere is usually electric down there and hopefully it will be even better next week. God I'm loving football at the moment! COYR!

Well it took them 3 years but they finally beat us. Was sitting in traffic at the top of Leith Walk when all hell broke loose after the game, grown men battering eachother in front of kids & everything. Joke.

We were discussing after the last Aberdeen game at Easter Road why we had to park the bus yonks away from the stadium. Going on to Leith walk is sometimes intimidating, especially after you get beat (which isn't often). If you had the busses outside the ground then this would stop thousands of fans of two different clubs meeting on a main street. Looked like a juicy game. I was hoping for a Hibs to win. Worse team (once Griffiths leaves), and hopefully, Hearts will be in a downer for Saturday.

Well I suppose it belongs here... Dundee Utd, won't have an away support at the cup game with the rangers as they are boycotting.
This is disgraceful. Proper bratty child behavior. It's like a child that has had his toys taken away.

Irony...
Then again, at least Rangers haven't threatned a boycott of their own stadium which is just pathetic and absolutely hilarious. Hate of another club before the love of your own.
I thought a boycott of Pittodrie had already started with the recent attendance figures anyway.

I thought a boycott of Pittodrie had already started with the recent attendance figures anyway. Strachan just used Oldco's "situation" as a bad business example on TV. I like him! A boycott for the right thing is correct. A new club starts at the Juniors. Once you have 3 years accounts, you may receive a SFL membership. You fast tracked this and got favorable treatment to get into the 3rd division. For you to be fast tracked into the SPL would have been wrong. Morally and by the rules. Had it been the SPL for your new club, I would never have went to another Scottish Football match. I make every game every season (bar maybe one or two for illness/events) and so do some of my friends. They wouldn't have returned either. And had it been Celtic, or Aberdeen, you would have done the same. A boycott for no reason is just silly. You've already given Caley and Motherwell 50% of gate receipts. Why is this game different? EDIT: Our average attendance is above 10,000 for the first time since 09/10 and the highest since 08/09. I know you lot aren't good with figures but this is just lies that you're spouting!

Both ICT and Motherwell were at home. How idiotic do you have to be to boycott your own stadium? I guess I already answered that though. "I wouldn't have returned" - Exactly. Your hatred for Rangers outweighs your love of aberdeen. That is (as you put it) "a bit bratty." Managing to fill less than your stadium on average this season doesn't exactly impress me either. Once again, new company, not new club.

Once again, new company, not new club. I don't know. Just as idiotic as boycotting a game in which you get half the proceeds. You got larger crowds in Ibrox than Tannadice can even hold so in the end you gave MORE money to Well and ICT than Utd could ever get from this game. Why support a competition if it's not a competition. It would have been a huge advantage to be allowed straight in (not straight back in) to the SPL and one that only 2 clubs would get. That would take all fairness out of the game and you and your football brothers would have continued to rule Scottish football for the foreseeable future (unfairly may I add). My love for football would have killed my love for Aberdeen, especially if we had voted in favor of it. "Managing to fill less than your stadium on average this season doesn't exactly impress me either." I assume you mean half the stadium. And it does impress me. We've had our biggest crowd in 6 years, had a very good average for Aberdeen and that's all with having poor home form. Remember, we didn't even sell out games in the 80's. Chuckles Green formed a new club, the old club's SPL/SFL membership was transferred to the new club and that allowed you in to the SFL. If he didn't form a new club then there would have been nothing to transfer! You were liquidated, an no matter how you spin it, Oldco don't exist any more.
