I'm usually aware of the social media around and read up on PPV results as they happen - but umm, why did Punk have tribute tights to Bret Hart? Did something happen?

Bret Hart had the Respect thing going on in his promos before he faced Yokozuna at WM9 and he wore all pink too. Bret's promo even had that Aretha Franklin Respect song *edit* alright found the video! one of my fave promos as a boy! |

First thing my buddy said when he saw it was "ahh they have to do one like the Macho/Punk 2pack only with Bret." I'd take it in Elite form though because we don't have that Punk shirt, although we probably will before this can be made, and I want colored tattoos. Amazing attire.
I will say though, Rey Mysterio took the attire award for me last night and I definitely want a Batman style Rey. It was a night for cool attires, and I was mildly shocked Cena didn't sport a new shirt.

Yeah at first I wondered if Punk was to get screwed out of the title. Then I realized it was because of his new found quest for "respect". Bret was all about respect back in his hayday. And it was awesome of Punk to do a tribute like that. Bret even tweeted after the show that he repected Punk for doing that.
Definately sounds like a sweet future Battle Pack to me.

Awesome tights, a fitting tribute to my favorite of all time. Also nice to see someone paid homage to while still alive to see and appreciate it which Bret did  Would absolutely love to see this made into an Elite. PS: Oh man... Wembley Stadium WAS 20 years ago! Man... Is that still the legit biggest crowd ever for WWF/E? I know they say 93,000 for WM 3, but the real number is actually lower and the legit SS 92 number is actually bigger... did any Wrestlemanias beat the record since then? |
