Hey all. Ive been watching pawn stars and storage wars. It really sparked my mind with how much stuff I have in my house. Im only 15 so I dont have much of worth of stuff. But dad does. He has over 7 thousand baseball, football, basketball, and hockey cards. He also has tons of TNMT and Marvel comics. If I can find out how much this stuff is worth that would be great. My family has never had time to look at this stuff he has gotten over the year but I do have time.
So I need to figure out: The prices of These comics and the trading cards I have stated that we have in posession. Thanks all and Feel free to share your great collections. : )
- Much love, Kyle.

there are comic book price guides that come out annually. check out your local library, there will surely be one of at least the last two year's in it's branch.
i have no idea about the cards though.
and i've been working on taking pics of my comic collection but it's taking some time.

there are comic book price guides that come out annually. check out your local library. I'd recommend them too, but the only problem with things like this is doesn't usually count for condition. You could have a rare comic but in poor condition. I'd try and track down an expert locally to look over your collection. Don't take them to a comic book shop though, most of the time they'll low-ball you.

Cards are pretty worthless unless you have some extremely rare ones.

I'd say if you are lucky you could get maybe $150-$300 for all the cards. For example on ebay someone was auctioning one random baseball card with free shipping. Starting bid was 1 cent USD. It got 1 bid. In other words cards are pretty much worthless. A card that sold 15 years ago for $1000 USD is now selling for $40. If its in mint condition and enclosed in a case. Otherwise like less then $10.

Here's some of my comics, it's an old picture so it's grown exceedingly larger since then. I also have a few hundred-thousand basketball cards. Too much to fit into a picture.

I don't understand why questions like these come up ALL the time. If you want a fair market value for ANYTHING look on eBay (completed auctions). Why don't people get that?
Any price guild ESPECIALLY sports cards (beckett, tuff stuff) are useless.
Bottom line in Beckett whatever the price of the card is... expect to get less than 15-20% of that price value in REAL MONEY.
Also, if a card is over 15 years old and it's not graded...that reduces the PRICE a lot. Also, PSA or KSA or other companies graded cards go for FAR less than Beckett graded cards...
Of course there are exceptions.
But the only cards that are worth anything come in the packs that are $100 a tin/ pack. NHL the Cup, UD black...etc etc.

I have a Wayne Gretzky rookie card. About 10 years ago it was worth $800 and I just checked last month. Now worth $400 I don't have to tell you math geniuses that the depreciation on these things have went severely south in the past 5 years. I have a card collection that was worth about $10 grand a decade ago and now it is worth about $2000

Ebay is always the place to check how much stuff is worth. People don't get that though. My mom has a rare nutcracker that she is convinced is worth several thousand dollars because a price guide says so and there's a store that sells it for that much. I looked on ebay and saw 2-3 of them that sold for $200-300 a piece. She's still convinced it's worth thousands though.
