I think a Battlepack that would be great to own would be one of CM Punk vs Chris Jericho from their Streetfight at Extreme Rules 2012. Would be more collectable as they would be in their street clothes and not the same old ring attire even though there is nothing wrong with that it would just be a nice change.
Punks are a massive seller and this one would be unique, hopefully we will see a 2 pack like this sometime in the future.
Or perhaps Elite versions of their streetfight attires would be even better?

It'd need new parts. The basic Cena shorts are too long for Punk's jean shorts. And for Jericho, I don't know that there are any basic jeans legs so far? Particularly ones for a short guy.
Ultimately, it wouldn't really be worth the time and cost. Both outfits looked like crap, like a couple of wrestlers from some smalltime bush league hardcore fed. The two figures wouldn't even work as street gear figures because they were wearing kickpads and stuff.
Mattel would be much better off having a Punk vs Jericho pack in their wrestling gear.

I don't see why new parts are always the reason for an idea to be shot down really, they could re-use the jeans basic mold on guys like Stone Cold if need be in the future or HBK in his Unsanctioned match at Summerslam 2002 with HHH. Punk is seen a lot in shorts in backstage segments or run ins so that mold could be re-used as well.
They were definitely "wrestling streetfight" orientated attire hence the match being held in the ring and not in the actual street so the kickpads were a great addition. Street clothes would be boring to kids - I think the fact they were an amalgamation of street & ring wear which makes the outfits relevant and a good idea for a battlepack.

From a business standpoint, Mattel would need to be able to regain the cost of new molds. Mattel wouldn't drop money into a specific mold it they wouldn't be able to use it again down the line, or use it for multiple characters. For example, The Live Event John Cena exclusive that Kmart currently offers, has an exclusive hand mold. Mattel makes tons of John Cenas, so naturally they can put the 'ok" hand mold on future figures(elite, singles, double packs) and easily make the cost of it back. Street clothing figures is one of those iffy because they most likely would be harder to move in retail. Defining Moments had Stone Cold in street gear, same with Triple H(though his was removable and had wrestling gear underneath) but the point is, Mattel won't just do it unless they know there is A) demand from customers B) a market for it(again has to do with customers) C) remaking the money they put into the mold. From a collector stand point, it's aggravating wanting something specific, and possibly never getting it, but sadly, that's how business is. You may want it, but the demand for it may not be high enough, or Mattel may not want to attempt to do it and possibly lose money/not move those specific figures. I remember from the Jakks era that street gear'd figures didn't move that well.(atleast in my area) It'd need new parts. The basic Cena shorts are too long for Punk's jean shorts. And for Jericho, I don't know that there are any basic jeans legs so far? Particularly ones for a short guy. Ultimately, it wouldn't really be worth the time and cost. Reusing existing parts(Cena's shorts) for Punk would be the only thing Mattel could possibly do. I couldn't see Mattel making new part for these specific figures, let alone a kickpad mold with jean shorts.. Wrestlers barely wrestle in street clothing. But you are absolutely correct in your post.

I'd love to see this for a few reasons. One, I was there to watch it live - such an awesome match with that hometown crowd. And aside from that, I thought Jericho's street gear looked killer, and due to the nature of the match, they could pull one of many different accessories to commemorate the match.
They'd probably have to change Punk's shirt logo, but that's no problem - just use his standard white SXE fist with lightning bolt. Close enough.

Couldn't they just use the Miz legs for Punk like everybody has done for customs?
Also, "stay tuned."

Couldn't they just use the Miz legs for Punk like everybody has done for customs? That's a good point, they probably could, yeah. But for Jericho it'd have to be completely new legs (with the exception of the boots), and they'd be too short to use for Stone Cold or Triple H figures down the road.
