I would love to customize but there is one thing holding me back.. The splitting of parts. Does anyone have a sure-fire way to pull apart RA parts without stressing them or breaking them?

In regards to actually splitting parts (torsos, I assume?), there is to my knowledge no surefire way. I've seen some folks cut away at the seams where the two halves are glued together and pry them apart. I've also seen torsos split by using a more popular method involving using a small screwdriver in the opening where the shoulder is and prying it apart that way. There are several people here far more knowledgeable about this than me, so hopefully they'll chime in and give you a more detailed "how-to".
I'm at the point now where I'm a pretty patient guy and can patch up any breaks or cracks and repaint the part, but personally, I shy away from torso splits unless absolutely necessary. In the past, I have unfortunately ruined more than a few torsos due to cracks or stress marks, so good luck to you.

Just a little fix-up. Repainted Nunzio's trunks, added FBI logo to the back and changed his right hand to make him look more italian

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. Please feel free to borrow or steal any ideas on these guys... That's what we post this stuff for right? These are part of a project I was working with a customer on years ago... History of the NWA title... We never completed the set, but here is a few of the early ones I wanted to share. I'll post more of them later if there is interest. Lou Thesz Pat O'Connor Buddy Rogers Gene Kiniski

Here's another older custom of mine, The Great Kabuki: I use flat acrylic paint & matte finisher, so I have no idea why the hair came out all glossy in the pic. Also, I'm not overly pleased with the head, but it used an otherwise useless "screaming" Cena head that I had laying around, so it'll work for now. Here's a brief WIP of Kabuki's facepaint scheme. I LOVE the WIP of his facepaint. Do you have a site or somewhere else we can see all your customs?

B.C.A jakks referee torso, arms were cut and glued on I used buddy Roberts arms and Spray painted the heads and arms using Tamiya flesh then glued the torso on the bottom legs of the RA refs body. Added a American flag decal to the arms but forgot to take pic of that.

Looking real good, Bigevil, real good. Your use of Remco, RA, and BCA parts is downright masterful. Oh, and I'll probably be stealing your recipe - Lol!
Awesome job, man!

Classicdas- i always love seeing your vintage Golden Age wrestlers!! I'm always envious of all your short boot calves, lol! Buddy Rogers is my favorite here, but he needs a golden jacket or a belt or something to make him stand out a bit more. To a nicer guy it couldn't happen!! MaskedSuperstarFan- whoa, Bad Leroy Brown, are you kidding me? Definitely a first, I like the sculpting on his overalls. Very cool! BigEvilJohn- those refs look factory made! You managed to blend the various lines and parts seamlessly. Best AWA referee collection on WFigs, easily! (What's that? Oh, they're the only AWA referee collection on Wfigs? Well...I still stand by my comment! Good day, sir. I SAID GOOD DAY!) Wars

Thanks Wars! It was actually your Uncle Elmer custom that prompted me to try and sculpt a pair of overalls. Yours obviously looks a million times smoother than mine. With a bit more practice, I might try a Leroy Brown, version 2!
Classicdas - Your old school NWA guys are great! Lou Thesz looks exactly like a lot of the reference pictures seen online. I like how you make the tights ride up a bit higher on the waist, too.
Great job everyone!
