As for who I think could possibly be a surprise entrant for January's Royal Rumble, as for who I think could be a surprise entrant in the Rumble match, especially entrants no one would be prepared for or see coming and everyone would be in shock would be:
Jeff Hardy especially if he were to come back to the WWE since he is under contract with TNA or he will be come early next year, so if Hardy were to come back to the WWE as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match, that would be the best surprise entrant
Chris Jericho would be another one but I can't see that happening especially if he is going to be touring with Fozzy
Undertaker would be another one that no one would see coming and it would be a real shocker too
Legends who I could see as surprise entrants: The Man They Call Vader, Sycho Sid, among others

Can't say I've watched much wrestling in recent years, but the WWE must be doing something seriously wrong considering the sheer number of Royal Rumble topics that are popping up.

Probably the usual legends such as Roddy Piper, Chainsaw Jim Duggan, Snuka.
It would be nice to have some real suprises like when Booker T and Road Dogg returned

I could see Devon seeing he left TNA and wants to return. Also I hope DDP since he came back. Others like Rikishi, Sid, etc.

Seriously, we're discussing "surprise entrants" for a show that's more than 4 months away? There haven't been any real surprises in the Royal Rumble in years. Give it up.
