Ruthless Aggression era for me, what is/was the SmackDown Six? When Heyman was booking Smackdown in 2002, Kurt Angle, Edge, Rey Mysterio Jr, Eddy Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Chavo Guerrero Jr were putting on some of the best matches on TV at the time

Golden Era -
There's nothing like that feeling of being in awe of seeing larger than life stars like Andre & Hogan. To over the top characters like Savage, Piper, & Warrior. To the realism of The Road Warriors or Barry Windham turning their backs on the fans. It was a magical time. There will never be anything like that again in my lifetime. Partially due to the changing of times but mostly due to me growing older and (slightly) wiser.
That's why I think WWE made the right decision to go back to PG. Cause I really hope wrestling will mean as much to my son someday as it has to me all these years.

Definitely the Ruthless Aggression Era. So much greatness came out of it and it wasn't as outrageous as the Attitude Era.

Greatest era falls into what is great in your own mind, what you saw as a kid etc ..
Personally i think 93-2002 is the best.

Been watching since Survivor Series '90. There was definitely some New Generation era that I missed. I mainly started watching again due to ECW and the Monday Night Wars.
For me Golden Era (1984-1991) just wins over Attitude Era (1998-2001) but very close!

I predict a full on Attitude Era fight coming. Ruthless Aggression era was probably my favorite. So many great talents on the roster, no ridiculous gimmicks like the Attitude Era, and Paul Heyman's Smackdown was just amazing. When the guy was writing and booking the show, it was the best it has ever been.

I'm biased towards the Attitude Era because I grew up watching it.
1)Attitude Era (Including 97) 2)Current Era (Such a great mix of talent imo. Guys like Taker, HBK, HHH, Kane hanging around with guys like Punk, Cena, Bryan, Orton, Ziggler, Sheamus) 3)Ruthless Aggression Era 4)Golden Era (Wasn't around for it, anything I saw live is more valuable to me) 5)New Generation (Same, but the era was all around terrible imo.)

For me its a tough call between Golden Era, Attitude & Ruthless Agression. I became a fan of WWE during Golden Era in the early 90's but to me I had more fun watching the AE because it was edgy, in your face & plus it had characters that I love (like Stephanie McMahon & others) but wrestling wise Ruthless Agression was miles better and it wasn't as gimmick heavy as Golden Era & AE

1997 was the best wrestling year of all time, IMO.
But Attitude Era is my favorite.

Such a thing does not exist, the greatest era is whichever one you like the most. It is all subjective. Not all of it is. When people think of the greatest basketball player of all-time, Michael Jordan is usually the answer. While other people can say that Larry Bird or Magic Johnson deserve that honor, no one has ever contributed as much to the game (or ever WILL contribute) as Jordan has. When it comes down to the greatest wrestler of all-time, there is no definitive answer. All the legends are the greatest for different reasons. When it comes down to the greatest wrestling era of all-time, there are usually two answers: The Golden Era and the Attitude Era. I get what you're saying, but a definitive answer is something the majority of people agree on, so it isn't always subjective.

Obviously the Attitude Era. Wrestling is and always will be primarily about entertainment. This era provided enough Entertainment to create a blockbuster movie. The Rock and Stone Cold are the two best of all time imo. Its a shame it was so damn short. It pisses me off that of all the guys in the RA Era you wrote about Cena, Orton and Batista. Hahaha. Another great Era though, Wrestlemania 19 was the highlight of it. Dare I say it, but Smackdown with Taker, Vince, Lesnar etc was the best roster of all time. Oh, and Kane's unmasking was one of the most amazing things I had ever seen as a child. Hyped up so well, and we ALL believed he would win the title, and sadly we all wanted him to win it . Sheamus being one of the main guys in this current era sums up what WWE is today. Bullsh*t. ...don't give me the whole 'why do you watch it then?'.. I haven't watched it for weeks. I make an exception for anytime Jericho or The Rock show up.

Ruthless Agression for me. While I love the attitude era the overall match quality during that time wasnt very high IMO and there were MANY great matches and storylines during the RA era so for me it wins.

I gotta go with the New Generation era!!
I was a huge Diesel fan and loved his year on top as the Champion.
Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels I am also fans of, and they both had title runs in that era. So definitely the New Generation was my favourite time frame for wrestling.
