I've been wanting to do a diary for a bit now after growing bored with a previous one after a few weeks. I'll be starting with the Royal Rumble pay per view to kick off this diary.
Notable happenings towards end of 2012
-CM Punk managed to retain his WWE Title up until this point. He started off the first Raw of 2013, by trashing the current design of the WWE Championship and bringing back the design that was last used in 2005. CM Punk entered into a partnership with Paul Heyman in September of 2012 that is still intact.
-After failing to defeat CM Punk in a match for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series 2012, John Cena challenged him to one more match and if Punk was to win, Cena would agree to never get another WWE Championship match for as long as Punk held the title. At the TLC pay per view in December, CM Punk defeated John Cena in a ladder match with help from Paul Heyman.
-Triple H retired from in ring competition in August of 2012 and stayed off television until December of 2012. He returned to relieve AJ Lee and Booker T of their General Manager roles after both shows had gotten so far out of control, that new, much more strict General Manager's were brought in. He announced that they needed General Managers who would be very hands on if needed be and therefore he named Steve Austin the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw and John Layfield as the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown. Triple H also made the ruling that Raw and Smackdown will return to being separate shows with separate rosters.
-Jack Swagger returned to the WWE after a few month absence. He had undergone a new look, new character, and picked up a manager who would have his best interest in consideration. After a few weeks of hyping the manager up, Ric Flair made his return to the WWE in a managerial role.
-Dolph Ziggler successfully cashed in his Money In The Bank Contract at the Survivor Series, after Sheamus defended the World Title in a Triple Threat Match against Sheamus and Randy Orton. Ziggler retained the title in a Tables match at TLC match against Sheamus. Randy Orton won a #1 Contenders match that same night, to face Ziggler at the Royal Rumble.
-Triple H announced big changes for the WWE Pay Per Views in 2013. He announced that Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, & Survivor Series will be remaining as Pay Per Views, while the others will be replaced. This led to the announcement that King of the Ring will return as a pay per view in June, and this led into the announcement that the In Your House shows will be making a return to the WWE to replace the other current pay per views. This is the upcoming schedule for pay per views.
January: Royal Rumble February: In Your House 1 March: No Event April: WrestleMania XXIX May: In Your House 2 June: King of the Ring July: In Your House 3 August: SummerSlam September: In Your House 4 October: In Your House 5 November: Survivor Series December: In Your House 6
-The Money In The Bank concept has been scrapped.

I doubt it's even fans of the diva's complaining. It just seems like a cheap way out of not using them. Not a fan of reverting back to the 3 main ppv's a year system, as it'll never happen. But for a fantasy diary, sure. I'd have probably had Mysterio/Cara in the tag team turmoil instead of another random Rey/Miz IC title match. Looks fun though.

A really good idea for your WWE 2013 would be bringing back Ric Flair and bringing in "Slick Rick" The Nature Boy to be Dolph's manager replacing Vickie Guerrero and Dolph can then say he dropped Vickie Guerrero because all she was doing was holding him back and riding his coattails while with Ric he has "The Man" guiding him now in his career and with Flair at his side he can accomplish even greater things
Just a thought
And as for the 2013 Royal Rumble Match, hopefully we see some surprise entrants, like I'm talking real shockers in the match that no one will see coming
Keep the Punk/Heyman alliance going because I'm loving it right now and hopefully you bring back Brock at some point

I'm not too big on the Rumble card, mainly because it seems like most of these matches could happen at any moment now in real life. Doesn't seem like much progression was made from now until January. And it's just a pet peeve of mine when people do away with the Diva's division. Not necessarily because I'm a fan of the Divas, but because I'd rather see someone try to make something out of the division rather than dissolving it completely. I do like Dolph as World Champion, and am looking forward to seeing how to book Punk vs. Rock. I'll be reading and replying to the Rumble. Good luck.

I enjoy these types of diaries, to be honest. Mysterio and Miz going at it again is kind of odd since they would have been feuding in the Summer. Plus Kane and Bryan still teaming is weird, but I love the combo so I can live with. Dolph as World Champion is great, hope he keeps it until WrestleMania. Also love that Punk closed out the year as champ.

The opening video package airs, highlighting the Royal Rumble match and it being the start on the Road to WrestleMania. The video package then recaps the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and The Rock, with the last image being that of The Rock laying out CM Punk with a Rock Bottom and then Jerry Lawler saying "We could be looking at a new champion". The pyrotechnics blast off around the stage area as Wayward One by Alter Bridge plays over the loud speakers. The cameras cut to shots of the arena and the thousands of fans in attendance before cutting to Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole at ringside, welcoming everyone to the Royal Rumble, live on pay per view. They then send it over to Matt Striker and Josh Matthews for the Smackdown announce team. They talk about the Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler championship match and then let everyone know that Smackdown is kicking things off with the United States Championship match. 1)Antonio Cesaro w/ Aksana def. Zack Ryder to retain the United States Championship at 11:28Zack Ryder put up a good fight against the reigning champion, but Cesaro remained one step ahead of Ryder through out the match. Ryder went for his Rough Ryder but was caught in mid air with a brutal European uppercut from Cesaro. Cesaro quickly followed up with the Neutralizer and picked up the win.The camera's cut backstage where we see the General Managers, Steve Austin and John Layfield talking in their combined office about Cesaro's impressive win. They are interrupted by Ric Flair who just wants to let them know that Jack Swagger will be winning the Royal Rumble match. Swagger stands beside Flair with an arrogant look on his face and then Austin asks Flair why he so sure that Swagger will win the match? Flair responds by saying that Swagger is the best and he's number one here in the WWE. Austin the agrees that Swagger is number one, but not in the WWE. He informs Swagger that he will be the first entrant in the Royal Rumble. Flair and Swagger leave, cursing Austin as he laughs. 2)Prime Time Players survived Tag Team Turmoil to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships at 18:37After a hard fought match, it came down to Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel against the Prime Time Players. Many thought Kane and Daniel Bryan were going to be the winners until Bryan accidentally hit Kane and Kane turned on him, and chokeslammed him, which enabled him to be pinned. The finish saw Gabriel miss his signature 450 Splash and then Young and O'Neil finished him with the Ghetto Blaster.A video promo airs hyping the soon to be debuting tag team, The Ascension CM Punk is shown arriving in the parking lot alongside Paul Heyman. Scott Stanford attempted to get an interview with them but Punk kept walking and all Heyman said was that Punk will be walking out the same way he walked in, WWE Champion. A highlight video airs recapping Miz attacking Rey Mysterio on the final Raw before Royal Rumble and laying him out with the Skull Crushing Finale on the Intercontinental Title before the start of the next match. 3)Rey Mysterio defeated The Miz to win the Intercontinental Championship at 15:09A great back and forth match between the two, with many near falls. Miz thought he had the win after nailing his signature Snap DDT but Mysterio kicked out at two and half. Mysterio battled back after that and countered out of Miz' Skull Crushing Finale and hanging Miz up on the ropes. Mysterio failed to connect with the 619, Miz went for the Skull Crushing Finale again, but Mysterio countered again, this time into a bridging back roll pin for the victory.Miz sat in the ring shocked that he had lost the title as Rey Mysterio celebrated with his newly won championship. Miz left the ring and slowly walked to the back, while Mysterio remained in the ring. Matt Striker left the announce table in order to conduct a post match interview with Mysterio. As he went to ask Mysterio how it feels winning the Intercontinental Title, Mysterio was attacked from behind by someone out of the crowd. The person turned out to be Dean Ambrose, who viciously attacked Mysterio and locked him in a modified STF, almost like the Regal Stretch. Referee's ran down to pull Ambrose off, and Ambrose left with a sick smile on his face as Mysterio laid in pain. Dolph Ziggler was interviewed backstage by Scott Stanford about his championship match against Randy Orton coming up next. Ziggler said he's already beaten Orton before and the outcome will be no different. A video package highlighting the Ziggler vs Orton match aired and then the match followed 4)Dolph Ziggler defeated Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Championship at 13:04Conspicuous by her absents was Vickie Guerrero and it looked to favor Orton, because their would be no distractions. Orton looked to have things in control until Ziggler low blowed him behind the referee's back and then nailed the ZigZag but Orton kicked out of the pin at two! Orton fought back and went for the RKO but it was countered by Ziggler into a sleeper hold that wore Orton down. Ziggler wrenched on the move, having Orton in the center of the ring with his legs wrapped around Orton's waist. Orton tried to fight out of the move and eventually passed, forcing the referee to stop the match.Ziggler quickly left with his World Championship. Orton laid in the ring, not moving as Jerry Lawler left the Raw announce table to check on the Smackdown superstar. Medical personnel came down to check on Orton and after a few minutes, Orton came to. Lawler, along with the medical personnel helped Orton to the back in a very scary moment. A recap of Dean Ambrose viciously assaulting Rey Mysterio earlier is shown and then the camera's cut to the interview area where Dean Ambrose is standing with Scott Stanford. Ambrose stops Standford mid sentence and says he's here to hurt people because it's the only thing he's ever really been good at. Ambrose says that Mysterio is just a causality to get the message across that Dean Ambrose is not to be taken lightly. Ambrose says this is just the beginning before walking off from Stanford. The Smackdown GM, John Layfield is shown checking on Randy Orton as he is loaded into an ambulance. Layfield is informed that Orton can't compete in the Royal Rumble. Layfield says the loser of the World Title Match was supposed to get a spot in the rumble. Ziggler walks up and sarcastically says "Sorry" to Layfield before walking off. Layfield stops and then pulls out his phone and calls someone as the camera cuts away. A highlight package recapping the upcoming WWE Championship match is shown, that match is next. Back in the arena, Scott Stanford informs everyone that John Layfield has gotten a replacement for Randy Orton's spot in the Royal Rumble and he will be here in time for the match. 4)CM Punk w/ Paul Heyman defeated The Rock to retain the WWE Championship in 26:17A very long, hard fought match between the two that saw a lot of near falls. Rock almost had the win after a surprise Rock Bottom, but Punk was able to power out. Punk fought back into the match and went for his Go To Sleep finisher, but Rock fought out and nailed his signature spinebuster and then it was time for the People's Elbow. Rock went for the move, but as he hit the ropes, Paul Heyman grabbed his foot. The caused the referee to leave the ring and getting into a verbal argument with Heyman. As the referee was distracted, Brock Lesnar ran into the ring from the crowd and attacked The Rock. As Rock fought off Lesnar and sent him out of the ring with a big punch, he turned around right into a big kick to the head from Punk. Punk quickly laid Rock out with the Go To Sleep to pick up the win.Rock laid spread eagle in the ring as Punk, Heyman, and Lesnar left together with Punk clutching the WWE Title. The crowd was booing loudly as all three smiled. Lawler and Cole put over the shocking return of Brock Lesnar after quitting the WWE in August of 2012. Lawler mentions that Punk keeps finding ways to walk out with the title and sooner or later, his lucks going to run out. Steve Austin and John Layfield are shown back in their combined office again, this time getting ready to watch the Royal Rumble match. Layfield says he has a hell of a surprise for everyone. A highlight video airs hyping the Royal Rumble match 5)Chris Jericho won the Royal Rumble match by coming in at #17It all came down to the final four being Jack Swagger, Chris Jericho, Kassius Ohno, and Sheamus. Swagger lasted a long time, after coming in at number one. He was eliminated by Sheamus after a huge Brogue Kick that knocked him over the ropes. Ohno was the next to go after taking a Codebreaker from Jericho, and then clotheslined over the ropes by Sheamus. We were then taken into a repeat of the previous Royal Rumble with Jericho and Sheamus being the final two, for the second year in a row. It looked to be ending the same way, with Sheamus going for his Brogue Kick, almost indentical to the previous year, but Jericho evaded it at the last second and Sheamus toppled over the ropes and crashed to the floor. The crowd cheered loudly as Jericho looked around while standing on the apron and then charismatically entered back into the ring, winning the match.Jericho celebrated the win as the announcers put over that Jericho has won the Royal Rumble and then question which champion he will go after. Jerry Lawler gets the final word in as he says "Jericho's road to WrestleMania, has begun!"

- Fine with Antonio going over Ryder, expected. - Happy with PTP keeping the belts. I hope they get them in real life soon also. - Not happy at all with Rey winning the IC Title, but it makes sense if Ambrose is going to go for the belt. - Very happy with Ziggles winning, and I love the finish, doesn't put Orton down at all, keeps him up for a possible rematch. - btw, I love that JBL is the SD GM. A lot of possible entertainment there. - Ehh, Rock losing probably wouldn't happen, but I do like that Lesnar returned to aid, cool finish. - I hate the way you wrote the Rumble. It took all of the shock and surprise out of the match, and was a bit jarring to suddenly be thrown into the final four, especially with someone that was a surprise return. Jericho winning is cool, and the finish mirroring this year's was also cool. I like that this will continue his feud with Ziggles.
I like the show as a whole, but write up for the Rumble was a huge let down for me.

Alright, interested in seeing how you fair in your first PPV outing. Maybe not the strongest start to the show, but I do love the match up. Good victory for Cesaro. Curious to see where his reign goes as looking at the roster, there doesn't seem to be much competition for him. Oh wait, never mind. You're going for him and Ohno, aren't you? Primetime Players retaining the gold is fine as well. Saddened that by this point, Kane and Bryan haven't been champions. I assume you will be building towards a match with them at 'Mania? Wasn't expecting Mysterio to capture the Intercontinental Championship. Please don't let Miz fall back into irrelevance. Dean Ambrose's debut would've been a lot better if you didn't specify that it was Ambrose. Could've certainly held off the reveal. Glad that Dolph Ziggler retained the World Heavyweight Championship. I do like how the Sleeper Hold was built as a deadly maneuver, but maybe a bit too over the top with the amount of concern for Orton. Surprised the WWE Championship match didn't main event, especially with Lesnar's return. Seemed like something that you'd want to close the show, despite having the Royal Rumble match. If we're getting Rock/Lesnar at WrestleMania, I'm curious to see who Punk defends against. Lastly, a bit of a disappointment with the Royal Rumble write up. I get that this is the inaugural show for the diary, but it still could've used a bit more detail. Looking at the final four, it was painfully obvious that Jericho was winning. While you have been building Swagger, a win here wasn't likely. Sheamus wasn't winning two Rumbles in a row, and I question why Ohno is even in this late. Jericho winning is great, though. It's clear that you're going for him and Dolph at WrestleMania, which I look forward to. Overall, a decent PPV. Some decisions I didn't necessarily enjoy, but still decent.

Royal Rumble Review
Cesaro over Ryder to retain his WWE United States Championship is great, because Cesaro now as US Champion for as long as he has been, he can legitimize the title by making it relevant again because with Santino as US Champion, he made that belt a joke and with Cesaro still champion, I hope he ends up being champion all the way to Mania
Swagger and Flair, I love this pairing because being associated with The Nature Boy Ric Flair has done wonders for Swagger's career and not to mention with him and Flair interacting with Austin and JBL, that was great and Swagger being named the #1 entrant, no way Swagger lasts until the end
Prime Time Players (O'Neil and Young) surviving Tag Team Turmoil, MILLIONS OF DOLLARSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS MILLIONS MILLIONS MILLIONS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS!!!!!! I really hope they do become Tag Team Champions in real life in the next few months
The Ascension debuting, I can't wait, what brand will they be on, RAW or Smackdown?
Scott Stanford trying to get an interview with the WWE Champion CM Punk only for Heyman to answer and say that Punk is going to walk into the match as the champion and walk out of the match still the champion, I loved it
Rey winning the IC Title is not really necessary, but it is necessary especially if Ambrose is going to go for the belt, elevates Ambrose quickly and I would love to see that
Very happy with Ziggler winning as well and retaining, and I love the finish, doesn't put Orton down at all, keeps him up for a possible rematch, and I want to see these 2 go at it again but I want to see Flair manage Ziggler as well
Flair can build a New Horsemen group with Ziggler, Swagger and whoever with Flair as their manager
Love JBL as the Smackdown GM, but where does that leave Booker T? Hopefully you have Booker T go back to being an announcer or you have Booker make a full-time return by being a wrestler on the Smackdown roster
CM Punk retaining the WWE Championship against The Rock, it was almost too obvious of a result, that was what was going to happen but what I didn't see coming was Brock Lesnar returning and him costing The Rock the WWE Championship, I expected Heyman to get involved but not Brock but I love it because you are setting up hopefully towards Rock vs. Brock at WrestleMania 29
Chris Jericho winning the Royal Rumble Match for the first time ever in his career, I saw Jericho winning from a mile away but now that Jericho has won the Rumble, it is obvious what title Punk is going to go after, he is going to go after the World Heavyweight Championship going after Ziggler, to set up Jericho vs Ziggler III at Mania
Overall great show but I hope your Elimination Chamber pay per view is even better
The RAW Chamber should be for the WWE Championship and for the Smackdown Chamber it should be for the World Heavyweight Championship
And hopefully we get to see Cena in your Elimination Chamber PPV, or hopefully you build up toward Cena/Taker at Mania 29
And for your Elimination Chamber PPV, hopefully we get to see a longer write up

Thanks for all the replies guys. I will do my best to view everyone else's shows and leave a reply. Also tg11, I'm not doing EC. I have restructured the ppv's to something I like more and feels different and fresh from the normal.

January 28th 2013 Edition Raw opens with a video package recapping the events of Royal Rumble between CM Punk and The Rock, as well as Chris Jericho winning the Royal Rumble match. The Monday Night Raw intro video follows and then the camera's open on the arena as the pyrotechnics blast off and the theme song for Raw plays. The camera's pan through the audience before cutting to Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole at the announce table. Cole welcomes everyone to the show and then says Raw is getting right down to business because Chris Jericho is about to make his way out to reveal which champion he will face at WrestleMania. CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler stand in the ring with their championships as the lights go out and the crowd cheers loudly. A "Jericho" chant breaks out in the silence and then a countdown clock begins at 5 on the titantron. As it reaches 1, the pyro blasts off and we here the themesong of "Y2J" Chris Jericho. The camera's focus on Jericho in signtaure entrance pose and then he turns around shouts "Come on, Bab-AY!" much to the delight of the crowd. Jericho charismatically walks to the ring as only Chris Jericho can. He enters the ring and then asks for a microphone. Jericho starts off by saying that it's great to be back and then says it's time to get down to business. Jericho puts over CM Punk's run as WWE Champion, referring to it as a Hall of Fame like reign. He says CM Punk is one hell of a wrestler and that in 2012, CM Punk and himself had one hell of a rivalry. Jericho says he's not ashamed to admit that CM Punk was the better man in that rivalry and beat Jericho everytime when it counted. Jericho then talks for a minute about how when he left in 2012, he was just starting to catch fire and get on a winning streak until one man cost him his job. Jericho then turns to Dolph Ziggler and asks him "Miss me?" to which Ziggler answers "No, not really." Jericho laughs and then says he didn't think so. Jericho puts over Ziggler for being one of the brightest young stars in the WWE and congratulates him on being World Champion, but says to kiss that title good bye because come WrestleMania, there will be a new champion. Jericho officially announces his intent to face Ziggler at WrestleMania XXIX. Jericho says that Ziggler might be good, maybe even great, but he's no Chris Jericho. Jericho looks to Ziggler and then says after WrestleMania, Dolph Ziggler will never...eeeeeeeeeeeeeeever be World Champion, A-gain! Jericho and Ziggler have a staredown as Jericho's music begins to play and Raw goes to a commercial break Raw returns from the break with a recap of Jericho announcing to face Smackdown's Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania for the World Championship and then we go to the ring for the first match of the night 1)Dean Ambrose defeated Sin Cara at 8:21 via Regal StretchRey Mysterio's former tag team partner, Sin Cara look to avenge Mysterio after the vicious attack by Ambrose at Royal Rumble after Mysterio won the Intercontinental Title. Cara tried using his speed to get the upperhand on Ambrose but it ended up being his downfall. Cara missed a big top rope senton splash that was followed up by a running knee to the skull by Ambrose and then he locked in the Regal Stretch for the submission win.Ambrose kept the hold locked on after the match for a few seconds before breaking it. Ambrose got a microphone and said anyone who decides to face him is signing up to get hurt. Ambrose says he a loose cannon and can't be held responsible for who gets hurt. Michael Cole wonders what the connection between Ambrose and William Regal is, since Ambrose was using moves made famous by Regal. The camera's cut backstage where we see a limo pulling up and then Paul Heyman exits, followed by Brock Lesnar! Lawler puts over how Lesnar and Heyman had a hand in screwing The Rock out of the WWE Championship as we go to a break. We return from the break with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar making their way to the ring to boos from the crowd. Heyman gets on the microphone after the crowd quiets down and says they wanted to come out before The Rock had a chance to, to address why Brock Lesnar returned last night and screwed The Rock out of the title. Heyman says that his client, Brock Lesnar does what he wants, when he feels like, and last night he felt like screwing The Rock out of the WWE Title because Team Heyman needs a champion like CM Punk to represent them. Heyman says Punk is a real champion much like Brock Lesnar, and he is another guy who does what he wants, when he wants. Heyman starts to speak but is then interrupted by the themesong of The Rock as the crowd explodes. The Rock walks out on stage as "Rocky" chants start up before he can talk. Rock calms them down and then asks Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman who the hell they think they are? Heyman begins to answer and then Rock stops him and says "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IN THE HELL YOU ARE!" and the crowd explodes again. Brock Lesnar shakes his head in anger and then takes the microphone from Heyman and tells Rock he know's exactly who Brock Lesnar is, he's the guy that defeated The Rock at SummerSlam and sent his ass packing to Hollywood. Rock fires back that he knows who Brock is, and he knows Brock beat him in 2002, he also knows that Brock took his ball and went home in 2004 because he didn't love this business. Rock says Brock was only ever in the WWE for the money and couldn't deal with the fame, and when it got too much he tucked his tail between his legs and he left. Rock said he may not be around as much anymore, but he never comes back for anything other than the people. Rock ends by asking Brock Lesnar one simple question..."Do you smell, what The Rock, is cookin?" Rock's music blasts over the loud speakers as he stares down into the ring at Lesnar and Heyman. Heyman shouts "This isn't over, Rock" as Rock starts to walk to the back and a commercial break comes up. The camera's come back as Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole talk about what an intense segment they just witnessed between Rock and Lesnar and then we go to the ring for the next match. 2)Seth Rollins defeated David Otunga at 10:04 via Avada Kedavra A good back and forth match up in the beginning, but Otunga took control with a cheap shot. Otunga dominated Rollins for the second half of the match until Rollins got the crowd on his side and built momentum straight into a comeback that ended with Rollins nailing a sick curb stomp followed by his Avada Kedavra kick to a grounded Otunga for the win.Rollins celebrated the win as the crowd cheered him on and then left ringside slapping hands with fans as camera's cut back to the interview area. Scott Stanford was standing by with Dean Ambrose. He asked Ambrose why he viciously assaulted Rey Mysterio at Royal Rumble after his match. Ambrose explains that he just felt like it and tells Stanford that it's a lot scarier when there's no motive. 3)Prime Time Players defeated Epico & Primo at 13:46 via Ghetto Blaster A solid tag team match that saw Epico nearly get the surprise win after a roll up on Young, however he was able to kick out. The match went on for another few minutes until Epico got the hot tag on Primo and looked to be on his way to getting the win, but AW got involved and distracted him which allowed Young to tag in O'Neil. Young and O'Neil attacked Primo from behind and nailed the Ghetto Blaster allowing O'Neil to pin Primo as Young knocked Epico off the apron. The tag team champions celebrated their win as they headed for the back and we went to a commercial break After returning from the break, we see The Rock walking to his car in the parking lot. He opens the door to be surprised by Paul Heyman sitting in the drivers seat. Heyman says "Hi, Rock" and then Rock is jumped from behind by Brock Lesnar. Rock fights back and looks to be getting the upperhand until Heyman kicks him low from behind and he drops to his knees. Brock grabs Rock by the face and says "You shouldn't have come back, Rocky" and then lifts Rock to his feet and slams his head through the window of his car! Rock falls backwards onto the parking lot floor, his face all bloody, as Heyman and Lesnar hurry off. 4)Jack Swagger w/ Ric Flair defeated Alex Riley at 12:17 via Ankle Lock
The crowd was really behind Riley, despite not being on television much. Riley used the crowds support to keep the match going, even kicking out of Swagger's signature gutwrench powerbomb. Riley was able to nail his Sudden Death finisher on Swagger and thought he got the win, but failed to notice that Swagger's foot was on the ropes. Swagger quickly attacked Riley while he was talking to the ref and locked in the ankle lock. He grapevined the leg for more pressure and Riley had to tap.Flair entered the ring and rasied Swagger's hand in victory as the crowd booed. Flair said Swagger is the future while holding his arm in the air. CM Punk was shown walking towards the entrance to the arena with the WWE Championship as the show went to a break. CM Punk's music kicked off following the break to a sea of boos. Punk mocked the crowd and told everyone he was the best in the world. He entered the ring and got a microphone. Punk started off by saying "AND STILL, YOUR WWE CHAMPION, CM PUNK!" to a bunch of boos. Punk said that no one thought he would beat The Rock, but here he stands still the champion. Punk says that he has had one of the longest WWE Championship reigns in a long, long time and he's beaten every challenger in the WWE. He said there is no one left on Raw that he can't beat, and deep down everyone knows it's true. He says he's going to be champion for so long, he will have to retire as champion. Punk starts to say something and is interrupted by the music of Raw General Manager, Steve Austin. Austin comes out to cheers and then says that Punk is right, he has beaten everyone on Raw that has challenged him and there isn't anyone left on the show that he hasn't beaten. Austin says that late last night, after the Royal Rumble, he personally asked Chris Jericho if he was going to choose to face Punk, or if Austin needed to find a replacement. Austin said Jericho informed him he would be facing Ziggler and that's when Austin's brain started ticking. He said he knew that as Raw General Manager, he has to have a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania, and that he has to book a match that the fans will want to see. Austin says that he looked at the Raw roster and noticed that Punk had beaten everyone on the roster. Austin said he went home, went to bed, and then got a very interesting phone call this morning from someone who hasn't been seen in the WWE in quite a few years, and has just become a free agent in the last week. Punk interrupts Austin and demands to know who Austin has in mind to be his next challenger. Austin says he was about to let Punk know, but since he interrupted him, he's not going to. Punk says as WWE Champion, he deserves to know, and then Austin says he will make CM Punk a deal, if he can win the next match, he will inform Punk of who it is. Punk says "Deal." and then we go to a break as Austin heads to the back to find Punk an opponent and the announcers wonder who Austin is talking about, and who Punk's opponent is about to be. We return from the commercial break as Michael Cole says CM Punk's opponent is about to make his entrance for the main event. Kofi Kingston is revealed to be the opponent for Punk. 5)CM Punk defeated Kofi Kingston at 9:21 via Go To Sleep A really good main event match. The crowd was hot for Kingston and were cheering him on against the WWE Champion. Kingston used a flurry of fast paced and high flying moves to keep CM Punk at bay. Kingston went for his Trouble in Paradise finisher, but it was evaded by Punk, who went for the GTS, that was countered into a roll up by Kingston that nearly won him the match. Kingston quickly got to his feet and went for a spring board cross body but was caught in midair on Punk's shoulders and then laid out with the GTS to give Punk the win.CM Punk stood in the ring, with the WWE Championship over his shoulder as Austin came back out on the stage. He said as promised, he will reveal Punk's next challenger, but he will let him introduce himself, because he just arrived at the arena. After a brief minute of silence and anticipation..... gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs/11643_o.gif [/img] "No More Word's" by Endeverafter blasts over the loud speakers and the crowd goes wild as Jeff Hardy makes his return to the WWE. Hardy does his signature entrance and the thunderous crowd cheers on loudly. Punk stands in the ring, looking shocked that Jeff Hardy has returned to the WWE. Raw comes to an end with Michael Cole freaking out that Jeff Hardy has returned to Monday Night Raw to be CM Punk's next challenger. The final image of Raw is a staredown between Jeff Hardy and CM Punk in the ring, face to face with Michael Cole exclaiming "Jeff Hardy is back, the Charismatic Enigma has returned!" February 1st 2013 EditionSmackdown opens with a recap of Chris Jericho winning the Royal Rumble and then his decision on Raw to sign with Smackdown and face Dolph Ziggler in the main event of WrestleMania XXIX. We then go to the Smackdown intro video, and that leads into the arena where the pyro blasts off as the camera's pan the live crowd. The camera's lead up to Matt Striker and Josh Matthews on commentary. They announce that Chris Jericho will compete in his first singles match since returning at the Royal Rumble, and he will go one on one with the United States Champion, Antonio Cesaro! We then go to the ring for the first match of the night. 1)Tensai defeats Ezekiel Jackson in 8:45A very physical match between two big, hard hitting competitors. Neither man could get a clear advantage over the other, but the ending came when Zeke signaled for his signature torture rack, until Sakamoto jumped onto the apron, distracting Zeke and the referee. This allowed Tensai to spray green mist in the eyes of Jackson behind the referee's back and then lay him out with the Tensai Bomb for the win.Tensai put the boots to Zeke following the match and then got on the microphone and spoke in Japanese, before speaking in English. He informed everyone that there isn't anyone on the Smackdown roster who can beat him. He challenged anyone in the back to prove him wrong before leaving the ring. After a commercial break, we came back to see Antonio Cesaro standing by with Scott Stanford. Stanford asked Cesaro if he has a game plan to face such an experienced veteran in Chris Jericho. Cesaro says he has something special planned for Jericho and to stay tuned. 2)Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd defeated the Prime Time Players in 12:53A very good, back and forth tag team match. The champions looked to be in control of the match until a mistimed big boot from O'Neil connected with his partner, knocking him out of the ring. O'Neil was nailed with a huge enziguri from Kidd and then a big 450 Splash from Gabriel to pick up a huge win over the tag team champions. The camera's cut backstage to General Manager Layfield's office where he talks about there being so much young, up and coming talent just asking for an opportunity. He says he wanted to take this time to introduce Smackdown's newest signing, a second generation superstar, his name is Richie Steamboat. Layfield informs everyone that Steamboat will be in action, next! After a commercial break, we come back in time for the debut of Richie Steamboat on Smackdown. 3)Richie Steamboat defeated Drew McIntyre in 14:27The crowd was on fire for this highly competitive match up. Steamboat came in looking to make a name for himself against McIntyre and he did just that. Steamboat nearly got the win with a huge crossbody, but McIntyre was able to kick out. McIntyre took control, making a comeback off a kick to the knee of Steamboat. McIntyre worked over the knee for a few minutes. He boasted and then attempted what looked like a figure four, only to be grabbed and rolled into a small package by Steamboat for the win.McIntyre sat in the middle of the ring with his hands on his head as Steamboat had his arm raised in victory. Steamboat looked down at McIntyre, who got to his feet. McIntyre and Steamboat stared at each other and then Steamboat extended his hand. McIntyre looked at him, and then looked to accept the handshake, but slapped Steamboat across the face and exited the ring. Steamboat stared at him as McIntyre walked to the back. A raw recap aired showing the shocking return of Jeff Hardy to confront CM Punk at the conclusion of Raw before going to a commercial The camera's returned from break with Richie Steamboat in the back, being welcomed to the roster by various talents. He turns around and Drew McIntyre is in his face. McIntyre asks Steamboat if he thinks he's better than him to which Steamboat says "Tonight? Yes, yes I was." McIntyre stares at him and then challenges him to a rematch next week. Steamboat immediately agrees and the camera's cut away as McIntyre walks away. 4)Chris Jericho defeated Antonio Cesaro at 7:31 via DQJericho looked to not have lost a step in his time away, but Cesaro was no easy challenge. The two fought a pretty evenly balanced match. Jericho started building momentum and was looking to be on his way to victory, until Dolph Ziggler ran into the ring and attacked Jericho from behind. The referee called for the bell, ending this in a DQ/Cesaro and Ziggler started double teaming Jericho, but then Sheamus made the save! Sheamus and Ziggler fought in the ring as Jericho and Cesaro fought off to the back. A referee came running down and signaled the main event to begin as we went to a commercial and then came back as the match was going on. 5)Dolph Ziggler defeated Sheamus at 10:16The match was more of a fight, spilling over from the two on one on Jericho. Sheamus and Ziggler went at it with strikes, until Sheamus tweaked his knee by missing the Brogue Kick on the outside of the ring and hitting the ring post. Ziggler rolled him back in the ring and worked over the knee. Sheamus fought back on one leg but Ziggler nailed a vicious drop kick to the knee that grounded Sheamus. Sheamus tried to stand but fell to the ground, and the referee stopped the match, giving Ziggler the win by stoppage Ziggler shoved the referee down and then started stomping at the knee of Sheamus until Jericho came running back out. Jericho and Ziggler met each other with a flurry of punches in the middle of the ring. As they were fighting, Cesaro came running back out and a two on one ensued, as Sheamus was in no shape to help. Cesaro and Ziggler put the boots to Jericho and Ziggler. Cesaro held Jericho up and then Ziggler nailed a Code Breaker on Jericho, and then posed over his body with the World Title as Cesaro stood behind him. The show ended with Cesaro and Ziggler standing tall, as Sheamus and Jericho laid in the ring.
