Anyone catch how Rey Mysterio is now wearing a spandex shirt to the ring?
All this means is MORE REY MYSTERIOS!!! Just when you thought Mattel has created every Rey costume. He goes and wears a spandex shirt....

Very true but they are going to put out Rey regardless so I guess it's better that he has an updated look. That's just looking at the glass half full

I'm not as against Rey being re-released, as the dude does have a ton of unique costumes.
My beef is when they re-release Orton, Taker, Cena, and Triple H.. with pretty much the exact same outfits..

I completely agree. At least with Rey you are getting a different color or pattern to his attire with each release. The other guys you mentioned are usually straight re-releases or they have a minor detail change. People can make any justifications they want, but there is absolutely no need for these guys to be released as often as they are. There should never be a time when a retail store is flooded with the same 1 or 2 guys. At one point this summer, my local TRU had over 50 John Cena's on the shelf and that's not even counting Rumblers and Flex Force. More than half of those figures are still there collecting dust months later. In fact, there are still several Cena and Orton figures from the Best of 2011 series that were stocked in November of last year. I understand wanting the big names on the shelf, but that doesn't mean they need to be in every series. |

He's been wearing that since he came back weeks/months ago. His Elites sell, just really slow but he does eventually sell out unlike E12 Ortons. There's still 8 of them on the pegs next to the Raw Live Cena in equal numbers, smh.

the only time we will stop getting mysterios is when he retires. even if he came out in the same attire week after week we would still probably get as many as we do now.

At least its another point of interest to his figures, will be interesting to see if they just paint over his torsos or sculpt it on. Its a nice fresh change I guess, might move more reys than all the ones sitting on shelves.

Why do you all want it to be removeable? Imagine how crappy one of their rubber shirts would look in comparison to his actual new attire. Its going to be molded on and if its not then it will look like garbage.
