There are a plethora of better in-ring technicians and wrestlers than Punk today. I'd go as far as saying he's never been the best wrestler in the world at any point in his career. On the mic it's hard to tell but IMO Bully Ray, Daniels, Aries, Roode are better talkers than him. I'd give him a 24 on the Hitman scale AT BEST.

im getting sick of people trying to shove THIER opinions of wrestlers down other people's throats like it matters. YOUR opinion is YOUR opinion and that's it. Feel free to share it with others, but to try and make people believe that your opinion is the only one that's right is not only selfish, it's ludicrous When CM Punk dropped "the pipe bomb" last year, 90% of wrestling fans were all over his jock saying it was the greatest thing they've ever seen on RAW, etc. So because he didn't come out every week since then and talk about backstage stuff, breaking kayfabe and trashing HHH he sucks on the mic? ? off. that's the dumbest logic i've ever assumed. You want to know why Punk is considered the best on the mic? Because he speaks with confidence in whatever he's talking about. He knows what he wants to accomplish if it's selling a PPV match or just saying he wants to kick a guy's ass. He doesn't stutter or mumble, he sells his character and the reason for being. Bret Hart said in almost every single promo of his career that he was "The Best the is, The Best there was..." etc. and yet he's viewed as one of the best ever. Stop being ing hypocrites, all of the greatest wrestlers in history have phrases they associate with themselves in promos and their gimmicks. Jericho said he was "the best in the world at what he does" for a year and no one cared. STOP using lame, hypocritical excuses just because you don't l ike Punk to try and convince people (who think he's the best) he sucks. FACT is, CM Punk was a nobody, wrestling for an indy promotion in front of 500-800 people. He made a name for himself and was given a shot to succeed by the biggest wrestling company in the world. He climbed the ladder based on HIS WRESTLING ABILITY and his ability to light it up on the microphone. Now he is one of the biggest stars in wrestling. That's an amazing accomplishment and is what made me as big of a fan as I am of his today.

On topic, while there are possible some better in-ring guys in the WWE (Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes) Punk is just the total package. He's the WWE Champion on the most successful wrestling company, so from a kayfabe standpoint he IS the Best in the World. He's had the longest reign in about 4 or 5 years. To me, he's the best superstar WWE has today.

>Implying Punk is better on the Mic than Bully Ray, Daniels, Aries, or Roode He's a better mic worker than all of them. There is NOTHING special about Bobby Roode's mic skills whatsoever. Storm is better on the mic than him. You can't apply the word "generic" to Punk. He's not now, nor has he ever been "generic". Nothing he does is generic - that's what makes him so good and is what sets him apart from the rest.

Roode was a great heel champion, and he actually headlined PPVs, which I can't say for punk (I know Punk hasn't been a heel champion for as long as Roode was, but I'm just talking as of right now)
IMO, his promo against lawler (The one in the Gif) was generic, since it was the basic "You're a commentator that beat a bunch of nobodies, so you can't judge me because you can't beat me"

Who cares if Roode "headlined" PPV's in a second-rate promotion? He wouldn't be headlining ANYTHING - or even get near the top of the card, if he was in the WWE. TNA's "world championship" is irrelevant to begin with.

It's a hell of alot more nicer than the Spinner Belt and it's more prestigious that a title that just got passed around before punk won it at Survivor Series

That, and Bobby Roode is like TNA's version of Triple H. Bobby Roode is a much better wrestler and speaker than Punk ever will be. (For the record, I just watched Punk vs. Joe II and yes, it was a 60 minute long match, but Punk in ROH was quite boring, just like Punk in the WWE is)

It's been a long time since I last saw TNA, but he was really good. I'd like to think he improved a lot before getting his title run. Better than Punk? Not in my opinion, but I do think he may be great and some people may have good points.

That's a huge accomplishment. I'm a fan of Bobby Roode and his work, but as a heel character he's as generic as it gets, and to mention him as a PPV headliner over Punk is pretty ridiculous. If that's what you're going by, Kevin Steen is a bigger star and more successful than Punk. I don't think so. To hold the fact that he wasn't main eventing against him is a stretch to me, considering WWE has been universally panned by critics for relegating the WWE title to second class.
