So I was going through my attic and I came across old Hasbro's and Galoobs that I had at one time customized ... at the age of 13... to make the current superstars of the time.
I tried to use Acetone and Goof Off to get all of the paint off and wound up high. The paint i used back then was an Enamel of some sort and there was a lot of electrical tape, white out, and even sharpie.
The Hasbro's I knew would be unsalvageable since I had shaved off parts of their heads and the enamel is just too thick to waste time and head ache on.
The Galoob's however, I tried to salvage with the acetones. The only issue is how deep the SHARPIE gets inside their skin. So I kind of have to abandon the idea til I get some good paint to custom or "repair" the Galoobs.
Someone here at one point fairly recently did a FANTASTIC job fixing up old Galoob figures and I really wanted to try.
I think my project is on hold.
