I dont see why they got rid of the violence, kids these days are not a sensitive as wwe thinks they are, i mean the games they play have violence even the wwe games have violence in it, anybody else want it back?

Read the last part of Mick Foley's second autobiography "Foley is Good". While it won't give you an explanation for why the product is toned down, it will give you a good look at how miserable the media and a couple of "do-gooder" groups made life for WWE when it was at it's peak during the Attitude era.

I personally like this product better. I can sit down with my kids and watch ths without feeling like a terrible parent for exposing them to that type of violence. Plus, I've now seen what that type of violence does to peoples bodies. It's just not needed anymore.

Even though this thread is spam. I gotta admit its kind of silly for a sport in which people are supposed to physically beat eachother down to become a kid orented show. I mean seriously wrestling will always have that stigma as violent and its a damn shame that they've watered it down so much.
