sorry to hear that bro, luckily in my area I don't think we have any scalpers.
And leave the kid alone, not a big deal he lied about his age imo.

If I go at opening on truck days, there's usually only one other person there waiting and he goes right for the Marvel/DC stuff and doesn't bother with WWE. I can usually go in there at 11 or 11:30 and they still have whatever they put out before opening.

Go there early too and when the scalpers grab up all the figures and go to check out, tell a employee or manager right away that you saw the guy stick some items in his pocket in the aisle. Employees will distract him from checking out by searching him in the back and everything and you can cherry pick his cart then and take the figures you want and check out. Works like a charm I promise you. Just got to have the guts to tell an employee you witnessed the scalper stealing and they will for sure pull him aside and check him.

You want to accuse someone of stealing and have them go through all that just so you can get some action figures that he has just as much a right to get as you do?

Just wait another month. Once the price on eBay goes down, they will sit on shelves.
I didn't see Bret in stores for like 5 weeks and now he's warming pegs. Well this was before the buy 2 get 1 free sale so they are probably gone now.

I really hope this is a joke because it's terrible advice otherwise. This kind of confrontational situation could spiral out of control.

You CLAIM to be 19 years old and "Grammy" has to call TRU for you? I'm sorry but that is hilarious to me.

Just because one buys more than one set of figures doesn't mean they are scalpers. I buy tow sets of elites all the time because I collect MOC and Loose.

The employee must see it, I used to work at KBee years ago and people would mention kids stealing but we couldn't just pat them down based on hearsay.

TC's a phony!
Anyway, I've heard stories of scalpers and I decided to go to TRU in the morning one time to check it out. Yep...never again. #OnceInALifetime #Boots2Asses

Some scalpers are flat out scum, but others are just trying to earn extra income to feed their family. Very bad accusation, and they probably won't check the guy anyway since by law they can't. You can try complaining that said scalper is buying up all the stock on what you are looking to purchase and that is why your family had to drive 50 miles to get there. A manager might tell the guy limit 1 per customer. It is a bit of a stretch but I had a situation like this work for me once at a Target. This scalper was buying an endcap of Transformers (the whole endcap, no joke) I asked the guy to spare one for me, he said "no" then we started arguing. A manager came over, I explained my gripe, and then the manager told him "Limit 2 per customer" (the endcap was all of the same figure so 2 seemed reasonable) This scalper was seriously pissed, but he should have spared one when I asked him too instead of causing a scene. One of the proudest moments in my life.

you can get alot of the figures online. sometimes for the same amount as retail, or less if you are willing to wait a few months after their release Just look at the Nash prices, they have already come down in the last couple weeks.

The best way to handle the hobby in my opinion is to set up a network with other Collectors that you trust, that live in different parts of the country. It's no secret that some areas receive product sooner and in larger quantities than others. Online stores are great, but I personally cannot justify paying $70 for a Kevin Nash with a mortgage and 2 kids to out through College. I'd rather spend the time developing relationships with some other honest folks that have like-minded interests and philosophies on the hobby.

people on here are right arseholes I know how you feel, the only case of scalping I've heard of was when the first face painted Jeff Hardy came out, apparently some guy went into the the shop and bought them all except one, which is the one I got luck was on my side for once. Unfortunately I'm not earning much money at the moment so buying online isn't an option especially when you're being asked to pay £20 per figure plus £4/5 postage. when you can pick them up in stores at around £15 financially I cant justify spending £10 extra on a figure just because my luck is out at retail - again a point people seem to over look when they're adults and have good paying jobs, or youngsters who's mummy and daddy foot the bill for them.

These BOPPV are about the only elites TRU orders anymore so I doubt you should worry about finding any of them!
