Tonight's episode of WWE Main Event was WWE Television at it's Finest!
All the little things done by the production crew made this match feel big time and that it could've been a PPV headliner. The video packages for Kofi Kingston and Miz before the match were top notch. This is what is NEEDED on Raw and Smackdown to get the audience emotionally invested in said wrestler (Kofi has been on the WWE main Roster since 2008 and we just now got a video package of him growing up and find out that he tried out for Tough Enough).
I loved the old school in-ring introductions with said competitors in the ring as it gives that old school big fight feel (to borrow a boxing term). I also loved how they integrated the clip from Monday night into the match and replays of certain big moves were well timed as well.
I don't know how many are aware but from the show opening intro to the end of Miz's backstage interview, 50 minutes of the show elapsed! Think about that for a second.
What tonight showed was that WWE is more than capable of making mid-card talent look like mega superstars, matches feel big time and making the viewer go "Damn that was great to watch." If WWE would just take what they did for Miz & Kofi's match and consistently carry it over to Raw and Smackdown, the viewers would definitely come back (and stay) to see a product well worth watching.

^ Exactly this show so far has been awesome.
I love how they can spend that much time on one match since it makes it seem a lot more special.
The match was not a letdown either.
I hope their likely HIAC rematch is just as good although I doubt it will get nearly as much time.

Agreed with pretty much everything CSUMB84 said -- I don't agree that this is the key to bringing viewers back, but it was an absolutely phenomenal show. Too often, WWE chucks two midcarders out there for no reason to fill fifteen minutes of TV time with a match nobody cares about except workrate fanboys. If you're gonna give two guys a ten or fifteen minute match or more, do something to make us care enough to watch them for that long -- and that's what they did here. On this show, they gave us video packages perfectly highlighting the two characters, interviews and commentary that made sure we knew what their issue was, and it set up the match brilliantly. And the match itself was superb (which of course was helped by the build-up getting people into it). Kofi's finisher has looked amazing this week! And he's relevant for the first time in three years.
I'm really looking forward to the packages for Ryback and Ziggler next week, too. This'll be Ziggler's first bit of character development in forever.
If Main Event does eventually turn into a C-show with the Superstars wrestlers, hopefully it'll keep this format. It could do wonders for scrubs like Justin Gabriel, the Usos, Primo and Epico, Tyson Kidd, Johnny Curtis, JTG and Antonio Cesaro.

I dont get why Dolph doesn't wear anything but black trunks anymore either he left his awesome trunks at home...and hasn't been able to pick them up. He's waiting on some new attires to be finished. those are the only things that make sense.

As a Ziggler fan, I just dont get it.... why bury a guy that has a chance to be a champ? Stupid. I mean I guess they weren't trying to further his character.... he's a Dibiase type heel. or a rick martel type

He has a chance at being one of the greatest wwe WHC EVER. And they treat him like this? WWE needs to handle there talent better. Also he kinda strikes me as like a cross between MR. Perfect (one of my favorite heels of all time) and Chris Jericho.

I'm still not used to this new show. I always remember it by accident. I was literally scrolling the Guide channel to find Survivor and noticed this was coming on
