WHY THE was that an hour and half? ?? What a lame ass, disappointing, uneventful episode. I thought this show finally took a turn for the better when it got to Alexandria. Talk about driving it back into the ground. Shame. Excited for the spinoff though!

What makes it a bad finale in your opinion?

Wasn't planning on seeing that tomorrow or anything... Anyway. Finale was great. I'm expecting to see some backlash between Morgan and Rick though.

Talk about driving it back into the ground. Between this and Sting losing tonight, what a disappointing night for such exciting events. That was a fantastic finale. What makes it a bad finale in your opinion? The finale wasn't nearly as good as the five episodes that preceded it. The plot didn't even advance one iota until the last ten minutes of the episode. The Wolves storyline, while intriguing, hardly progressed. Sasha and Gabriel are ungodly annoying characters. But nvm those caveats... Let's look at the big picture. There was no ing reason for this episode to have been and hour and a half. It was ing dragged out with filler for the sake of adding 30 minutes of commercials instead of the usual 15. I don't know how the viewership for this show keeps getting higher. The writing is just lazy and gets worse every season. Cut the damn show to 10-12 episodes instead of 16. This finale was total bullshyt in my mind. I am pretty damn excited for the spinoff though. Much more so than the main show. Ugh, I need to go take out my frustrations on Xbox Live. Haha grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm editing my post right now... It didn't occur to me that people were holding off on WM entirely to watch the finale.

Great season finale. Morgan's back with Rick, the town is under siege by walkers, and the Wolves are about to attack.
Beautiful.

Quality Wrestlemania? Check. Quality end to Walking Dead? Check. Finally lost my virginity? Outlook not so bright.
2/3 not bad.

Since I asked the question last week in this thread, I'll say what I did. I watched WrestleMania live, then watched the season finale.
I'm surprised nobody from the group died, the way it was being teased made it seem like a sure thing. Rick killing Pete was expected, and I knew he wasn't going to get kicked out. Morgan re-appearing and re-uniting with Rick at the end was awesome. I have no idea who these Wolves are. Are they a part of the comic, or something exclusive to the show? Seeing as how the wolves are, I don't think there will be a time jump between seasons.
As a whole, I enjoyed season 5 a great deal, and hope season 6 is even better.

The Wolves are likely one of two groups from the comics...(rest in white for any potential spoilers below this) You have the Scavengers, which show up after hearing Rick shoot Pete in the head (how this ep ended last night) -- they last about as long as the Cannibals did, episode-wise. Then you have the next 'main villain' which are The Saviors in the comics. Their leader is Negan, who basically makes The Governor look like a joke. So The Wolves are either one, or a blending of these two groups, most likely. We wont know until October.

Spoilers from the comics ahead! I was really expecting Carl to get shot as the season finale big twist. When Glenn got shot, I figured he'd be the one with the half blown off face. . Whoever Rick shot, be it Pete or Deanna's husband, is not much of a big plot twist or cliffhanger. It's great that Morgan is back and even better than Daryl is the one who found him and knew he was him from the map. I figure Negan's debut will be the mid season finale, then the start of the war will be the season finale. Possibly Carl getting shot as the mid season finale, Negan as the season finale .

Great season finale. Morgan's back with Rick, the town is under siege by walkers, and the Wolves are about to attack. Beautiful. I feel the same way about this finale as season 4's finale... Would have been fine as a mid-season finale, but crap for the main finale. And the extra half hour was nothing more than a dragged out cash grab, much like the show in general. It would be so much better if they cut the show to 10-12 episodes a season. I get it business wise... But the decline in quality from seasons 1-2 compared to 3-5 is very palpable.

I really enjoyed the episode, but I guess I'm a bit of a mark for seeing major comic moments unfold on the TV show. They also did a really nice job on focusing on all of Rick's group tonight, besides Carl. Guess those extra twenty minutes really did the trick.

I had a thought (more like a fantasy) that they were pushing up the storyline of the whisperers. Can't wait for that...

They must be two or three seasons away though.

I think the first half of next season will deal with Rick and his group teaching the others how to defend themselves and then The Wolves will come. I see the midseason finale having to do with defeating them and Alexandria finally feeling safe. The rest of the season will be them rebuilding from any damage taken from The Wolves, relationship changes to further storylines, and then maybe The Saviors showing up at the end of the season. That would leave Neagen for the season 7 midseason finale. The rest of season 7 and most if not all of season 8 would be the war between them and Neagen.
I really am looking forward to Fear The Walking Dead as it would be cool to see the outbreak from the start and see how a big city deals with it.

I'm going to refer to the Wolf who confronted Morgan as "Andrew WK Wolf".
Sick booby trap. What exactly did the note say? I couldn't make out the top portion of it.
