Scalpers are just sad losers who can't get real jobs. Pathetic.

Some good points in here, collecting has almost become a headache, it seems like the toys don't even make it to shelves anymore.

Some good points in here, collecting has almost become a headache, it seems like the toys don't even make it to shelves anymore. They really dont! Which is sad! I would love to be able to walk into lets say Wal-Mart at 4pm and see decent stuff and not have to worry that everything was grabbed up. But scalpers are so crazy they are hitting every store on stock night. Heck one time I saw a scalper grab an entire case of The Dark Knight Rises figures and Avengers figures. Didn't even open the box just literately grabbed the case and walked up to the front to check out. Collectors almost have to stalk to the stores like scalpers do just to have a little hope to find 1 or 2 figures they need for their collection! I feel sorry for kids who will probably never find any of the more rare figures at retail. That night I found E17 after the scalper dove in and I was able to at least grab the kofi and ryder all that was left was 1 sheamus and 1 cena. The case was gone in a matter of 10 seconds lol. Luckily for me I find the hunt fun but sometimes it is frustrating and when I get frustrated I tell me self chill its not a job its a hobby, have fun with it!

I'm not sure whether this is a good or bad thing, but it seems to me that very few Mattel figs are commanding secondary market premiums. It reminds me of the market when Jakks got three or more different figures of each wrestler on the market after a few years. I don't know why anyone would buy an entire case of figs to flip them for peanuts.
