I'm amazed that some of these aren't in already. The Meters, Kraftwerk, Rush, Heart, Deep Purple, N.W.A and Public Enemy To be fair with the last two, this is the first year NWA and Public Enemy are eligible. I'm pretty sure at least one of them will get in (hoping for PE if not both). It's a good list over all. I'd be fine with any of these groups getting in. I'm hoping for Rush the most (part because I like them and part so people have one less thing to complain about). Public Enemy is my second personal want, then Joan Jett. After that I really don't care that much. I like all the artists involved and want to see them all in eventually. |

It's about  ing time. It's a travesty that this is the first time Rush has been nominated when they've been eligible for like 14 years now. And it sucks that Deep Purple gets their nomination the same year Jon Lord died  Rush and Purple being inducted in the same year would make it the best HOF class in ages... |

I think the world is going to end now because not only are Rush, Deep Purple, and Heart nominated, but the fans FINALLY have a say in who's going in! We can vote for who we feel should go in and the committee will take our votes and combine them with their votes!!
Those morons at the Hall are finally beginning to wake up, but it's still with disrespect! Especially when they don't decide to induct Deep Purple until one of the original members has died. I also feel it's way disrespectful when Rush, Heart, and Purple have been eligible since the late 1990's and yet they have NEVER been even considered to be in the Hall.
Don't get me wrong; I am excited to hear that those bands got nominated and we have a small say of who goes in, but it just comes with disrespect from the committee members of the Hall. I can't wait and I hope all the fans and the Hall make the right decision.

Hey, maybe in 10 years Judas Priest and Iron Maiden will be nominated.
Anyways, while this is cool and all; Rush, Deep Purple ect have been eligible for more then a decade. At this point it's whatever with me anymore.

I would actually make this argument, but frankly telling Rush fans that Kraftwerk has more influence tends to lead to arguments itself. |
