Man that really sucks for sunglasses guy, he didn't do anything wrong and got the punishment for both a douchey man child and a cowardly bunghole. sucks twice as much for Punk because now he's in deep poop for one punching a fan and two punching the wrong guy. Man not a good end for either party. Don't forget he shoved a minor. Is he a minor? I didn't see a parent or anything getting upset at Punk for shoving their kid as most parents would. He probably was just some idiot who got way too close.

Wow
Whatever the reason, if this isnt a work he is gonna be in trouble.
He certainly needs to drop the title. That's deeply unproffessional and certainly won't help wwe and the image needless to say lindas senate run :/

"According to local CBS reporter in Sacramento, the fan who was struck by C.M. Punk during Raw subsequently filed a police report. The fan also claimed that he did not initiate contact with Punk." [a href="pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_65807.shtml"][/b]http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_65807.shtml[/a] This is going to be a major headache for the WWE brass, whether Punk was justified or not.

So it's ok to assault people if it's good for the business? Precisely. Wrestler's still have to look like individuals that can dish out pain when aggravated. Thats such a ridiculous standpoint. They shouldn't have to LOOK tough, we're supposed to trust that they ARE tough. Thats why the smarter ones dont go provoking them physically in the first place. Thats why theyre on TV and we're not. But that's not even the point.. The jig is up man, the cats out of the bag: wrestling is scripted. These guys are actors. This isn't 1985. I support these guys in their right to defend themselves from harm but you don't simply start fighting the crowd based solely on the intention of keeping kayfabe and making people believe in the business. Not in this day and age. Want a headache? You're actually invoking a double negative by even saying that they should "protect the business". Seeing as you're not IN the business, and yet you're acknowledging that there's something they need to protect. Back in the heyday the only people who should be talking about "protecting the business" are the people who ARE in the business - because everyone else didn't have a clue or couldn't be positive that the fights were phony. [/b]http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_News_3/article_65807.shtml[/a] This is going to be a major headache for the WWE brass, whether Punk was justified or not.[/quote] I dont think a police report was the best course of action. WWE is good at settling these issues out of court. And will probably be persuaded into dropping the charges by WWE. They shower people like this in gifts. Were talking backstage tours, Mania tickets, Hometown tickets for life, pretty much whatever will convince the guy to let it go.

WHERE THE WAS THE SECURITY? It looked as if Punk was getting mauled up there in the crowd.

You hear security at the end of Raw tell the bald guy that 'you pushed him in the head' or something along those lines.
On another note, from the footage on YouTube the bald guys forearm is pushed in the back of Punk's head/neck, how is Punk to know that this guy did it by accident after being pushed left, right and centre before the incident.

I honestly can not think of a reasonable explination for that. I know Punk gets involved in the crowd quite a bit thanks to youtube but I mean, he smashed him, the guy seemed genrally shocked. Can not be a plant or anything like that, if i was there would of been a more forced reaction by the guy but this was a genuine reaction.

Dropping the title? No more push? What the are you guys talking about.. CM Punk did what any WWE superstar would have done getting surrounded by rowdy fans in a planned segment. He may have struck the wrong person, but that doesn't mean he wasn't justified in doing so. He was being shoved, smacked, and the final straw was getting hit in the back of the head.. WWE is at fault for letting Punk flee into the audience without security around. He is not in trouble, he will not be punished.. He will not lose his title or his push.. tbh, some of you guys need to get a clue.

He *might* be charged with something. It depends on the other footage and eyewitness accounts of what happened before Punk made contact. There is no way to say what will happen one way or another right now.

He hit a fan who didnt do anything to him, on LIVE TV and infront of his boss, i'm not surprised the guy filed a police report, if a wrestler turned round and hit me in the face because of someone else, I wouldnt let it go, I'd file a police report too.
It's well known that fans aren't Punks favourite people....so why didn't he just go up the ramp, or through a clearer space in the crowd.

this kid kinda started this whole situation. security should have been on that kid after that first push. but security was no where to be seen until after.

Word is is that a fan, not sure which one by the tv feed, doesn't show it, pushed Punk in the back of the head, setting him off. I've seen more happen to other wrestlers, and they brush it off and continue professionalism, I've had things thrown at me coming off the field, you just gotta let it go when you are at that level. Average fan can't take a hit from a pro wrestler like Punk. I can see a lawsuit coming out of this.
