If I was the guy who got hit by Punk, I'd want the best travel package for Mania next year (including HoF, RAW after Mania etc.) Guaranteed copies of all new WWE DVD releases, tickets to RAW/SmackDown etc. He should just milk it. It'd be better than this going to court. I completely agree!

It'd be better than this going to court. Especially after Punk's tweet, if I'm that guy...I'd never want anything from them again (as far as merch, tickets, etc.) Yup. I could understand the guy not wanting anything to do with WWE again after one of the wrestlers attacked him. If he's happy with loads of free stuff from the company whose wrestler attacked him, then cool. But he might not be. He might want some justice over this, and that is absolutely understandable. I doubt Punk will get fired over it, but I think we could see a 17 second Ryback title win next week on Raw. And if so, good. CM Punk is one of my favourites, but the guy is clearly a dick and he took it too far this time.

I don't know what most of you guys are seeing in that video...but I clearly see Punk turn around and mumble something to the guy (before striking the guy). Moments later I see the fans fat forearms hit Punk in the back of his head in unison. Maybe he got pushed from behind, maybe not. His arm did clearly land on the back of Punks head. Did he deserve to get hit? Maybe...maybe not. I don't know if intent was involved or if it was done by accident. Other fans were clearly shoving him too. Punk had seconds to make a decision because clearly the incompetent security team at the arena wasn't doing their job.

I don't know. He tweeted out "hands of steel" or something along those lines but that was after he slapped Vince earlier in the night. Oh yeah, I saw that. Definitely not about this incident. It was posted 12 hours ago, Raw only ended 10 hours ago. My mistake, I assumed it was about the other. "Fists of Stone" refers to a slap? Hm

So it's ok to assault people if it's good for the business? Precisely. Wrestler's still have to look like individuals that can dish out pain when aggravated. I hope you're just saying that to be controversial, because if not you really need to have a think about how important wrestling is. Punk is an entertainer, he's an actor, that's all. He doesn't have a right to attack the people who pay to watch him, they didn't ask to be involved in any confrontation, they maybe got a bit over excited because it went into the crowd, but so what? I've seen that happen plenty of times and rarely does a wrestler feel the need to punch a fan in order to 'proctect the business'. I like Punk as a performer, but I seriously hope that he is properly punished for this, and ideally in the form of his release. What you're suggesting is that wrestlers should have the right to assault anyone who provokes them in anyway in order to protect the business, but that is just utterly ridiculous. I didn't watch Raw, but am I right in saying that this wasn't even on air?, if so then how is this a case of Punk keeping up his persona? It's not. I seriously hope that some action is taken for this, because no one can think that they have a right to attack innocent people just because they're famous. Punk obviously isn't as smart as he thinks he is, and whilst I know it won't, I hope it costs him his job. You can't justify him hitting a fan by saying that he 'hit the wrong guy' either, because nothing in that video should have provoked a reaction like that. Don't turn Punk into a victim because of that other fan, Punk still shouldn't have punched anyone in that crowd, there's no justification for it what so ever.

Big deal, he got pushed around. Cry me a river. You don't just turn around and throw punches like that when you don't even know who's touching you. There's several people guilty here. Security were also at fault, and obviously the douchebag in the white shirt who slapped Punk's head is the worst. Punk's life wasn't in any danger though. He wasn't being attacked. He got a few shoves and a slap to the back of the head, so it's okay for him to hit an innocent man? I'm sorry, I don't accept that.

It looks to me that Punk just got the wrong guy. Looks like the guy behind the guy that got hit shoved him into Punk, and then the fan Punk hit accidentally hit Punk with an elbow while putting on his sunglasses. Which begs the questions, why was he putting on his sunglasses...
What a disaster though. Punk had to stiff arm like 3 people. I don't think anyone was right here. The fans need to stop trying to get themselves over on TV and Punk should have kept his cool. Security should have been right on top of Punk too. Just a giant mess.

Here's the indisputable proof. Sunglasses Guy is innocent, Punk acted like a ing idiot. Look closer. Sunglasses guy's arm hit the back of Punk's head, which is what Punk was reacting to. Punk was already turning around when the shoulder tap happened. Punk was reacting to a fan hitting him in the back of the head, intentional or not, sunglasses guy hit Punk, and not knowing if it was malicious or not, Pubk reacted.

So because I'm clearly a fan of Jericho, that must mean I love everything he does and think he's right about everything? Okay, pal. BTW I LOVE FOZZY! Jericho was in the wrong. Punk was even more wrong. Punk hit an innocent person. Just put yourself in Sunglasses guy's boots. How would you feel if you were in the crowd enjoying the show, when CM Punk turned around and decked you? I doubt you'd be going "oh, but he was getting shoved!".
