More reviews, all perfect: GTA V ReviewsSo far Gamespot is the only one that didn't give it a perfect score and for the stupidest reasons. I think I'm done with Gamespot, they're really ridiculous. They gave GTA IV a perfect score but GTA V gets a 9?!? Like WTF?!? Morons  Edit: HA! I went to Gamespot's FB page and everyone's ragging on them for giving it a 9, I even added my own 2 cents, lol. Polygon gave it a 9.5 and escapist gave it a 7. |

Polygon gave it a 9.5 and escapist gave it a 7. Never heard of them, they're probably as unreliable as Gamespot. All the reliable credible sites have been 100% positive. Polygon is one of bigger game review sites. They started this year but a lot of editors are people from kotaku and ign. Definitely worth a check out. |

Giantbomb.com is also very popular amongst gamers. I would personally put those two above ign. |

Reviews are just opinions, man. I'll never understand how people can get hung up on a review score to a game NONE OF US HAVE PLAYED. When it comes to movies, reviews mean nothing to me, but I tend to rely on reviews for games only because of how much they cost. Getting games before the internet sucked because shelling out $50 - $70 for a crappy game wasn't fun. I remember when I got my first job I made very little so one paycheck pretty most of it went to one game with very little left over, so if that game turned out to be terrible I would cry because I spent all my money on something that wasn't worth it. I'm not saying reviews are useless or unimportant, I'm saying to get thrown off by a game receiving a 9 instead of 10, and A instead of A+, anything that small, is silly. Especially when none of us have even seen it in person, let alone experienced it ourselves. |

I saw the 10/10 coming from IGN. How could you not? That site is the biggest joke when it comes to reviews. Any game that has a huge following is getting a good review from them.
I think I might enjoy this game a lot more than I should just because I am not going in with the mindset that it's going to be the greatest game ever made which a lot of people are doing. GTA IV really left me with a sour taste in my mouth and in my opinion is, by far, the most overrated title of the current generation.

I pre-ordered from Amazon and it got dispatched first class post on Saturday, so it should definitely be here tomorrow. I got my next couple of days all planned out. I got College tomorrow, so I'll go to College in the day, and when I come home I'll finish off doing stuff in GTA IV. And then since I got Wednesdays off College, I'll spend all of Wednesday playing GTA V. Fantastic!
Also about Rockstar warning players not to use the Play disc to install, really, you'd have to be a complete idiot to do that. The first disc is labelled INSTALL disc for a reason.

It's got nothing to do people mistaking the play disc for the install one. You'd have to be a complete idiot to think that. Some people like to install games to their hard drive as it generally optimises performance. In this case, it doesn't. So they let people know before launch in order to avoid it happening. |

If it got a 9, that is fine. After I play it I probably wont agree with it being considered perfect. It looks like a 9.5 game to me from what I have seen at best. Its just that some feminist is mad that the game known for killing hookers unfairly stereotyped women and had comical political tones to it. Plus that woman is a man |

I pre ordered it from amazon and it didn't ship until 1pm today. Now when I track the package it's saying expected delivery date Wednesday. I contacted amazon and after they checked my order they told me they can confirm It'll arrive tomorrow.
I hated even contacting them because I feel so whiney making a big deal about it being one day late but I really was looking forward to having a day off from work to just be able to enjoy the game.
