After hearing how South Park was delayed, I went and switched my credit over to GTA V. So it's paid in full now from Amazon. Now to wait.

I don't want to say that these screens are making me aroused sexually. But I am indeed now aroused. The game may, or may definitely be to blame for this.
My only concern is how they'll play out the story with 3 different main characters. I'd hate to see the story spread a bit too thin in areas to accommodate them.
Regardless, the screens are bringing back good nostalgia from when I first started seeing screens of GTA:SA and GTA:IV. I'm definitely doing the midnight launch for this game.

Hype level is through the roof. 3 Protags threw me off at first but I got full faith in Rockstar. Those pics and bios are the sh*t!

I'm not totally sold just yet. GTA4 left a foul taste and it seems like they want to stay in that path. Red Dead was great but eh, its hard for me to have my doubts on this. I HOPE it works out but I'm skeptical for now.

Los Santos is bigger than Texico [area of RDR], the GTA IV iteration of Liberty City, and the whole of San Andreas combined. Holy sh*t hell f*ck balls. That is insane to think of!!! Definitely getting this on PS3, I am NOT dealing with having to switch discs. And with a map that size, it's more than likely gonna be multiple discs on the 360.
No celebrity voices in this one [thus far anyway]. I seriously cannot wait for this game. It'll be my next pre-order.

I hope this whole musical score thing is cool, but I still want a killer soundtrack with songs like we have come to know and love from the GTA series. San Andreas and Vice City had AWESOME soundtracks.

HOLY. I'm blown away by this info. I remember reading a 'Games Master' magazine when Vice City was about this close to coming out. All the info just making me go weak at the knees. It's awesome how 10 years later I'm getting that exact feeling about V. When I first heard of the multiple protagonists rumour, I wasn't crazy about it. Reading up on it though, it may solve that issue of when you just don't care about the character. CJ was kinda lame to me, and whilst I liked Niko, it was the characters around him who stole the spotlight. It will be cool to have one guy in V who you really warm to and is your 'go to' (my bets are on Michael for me), but to have the others there to shed a different perspective/ experience on the game. I love the idea of character switches being easy as a camera jump, as opposed to say going to a 'safe house' and changing them there. I have 110% faith in Rockstar nowadays. IV was a great game that only had a couple of faults, but they've only improved with the likes of LA Noire and RDR. To be honest, my biggest wish at this point is to just get a better soundtrack than IV. They totally seem to know what they're doing with the locations, characters and gameplay and it sounds ing awesome. |
