I was having a discussion about Sting going in the HOF and he said this...
"Do you know how many wrestling "halls of fame" there are? Are you also aware that every one of them honor fake characters? Hollywood doesn't even have a hall of fame like these, and Hollywood had a hall of fame for everything. There's a reason Freddy Krueger isn't in a hall of fame; he's the same fake character that wrestling characters are."

People give their lives to their character in wrestling, and often die because of the physical wear on their bodies. Hollywood does not have this.

So even though wrestlers do their thing more than any other sport in the world, they shouldn't get a hall of fame, but over paid football, baseball, and basketball players should because they are "real" people? Give me a break.

They don't honor fake characters they honor the abilities, legacy, and contributions of the people playing the characters.

Off the top of my head, there is the WWE, WCW, NWA, TNA, Canadian Wrestling Hall of Fame, Pro Wrestling Hall of Fames in Iowa, New England & New York & Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame
Out of all of those which would you consider the most legit?

The WWE Hall of Fame is a very stupid thing. It is mostly an added event to Mania weekend so they can sell a few thousand tickets to make more money. The only real selection process is who is a big name they can use to move tickets and who is not on Vince's craplist.

I doubt the actual existance of this friend...no one who cares about wrestling is going to talk about the HOF in such a.degrading manner, much less the performers themselves. So, if this conversation did take place, your friend is not a wrestling fan, and their opinion is absolutely worthless on the matter.
