-UNDERCARD-
Chris Lawson VS Jake Cheng
In order to showcase as much of what LA Pro has to offer we've put together an assortment of undercard matches which try to contrast as many different styles as possible. That said though there's almost guaranteed to be some overlaps as some competitors will utilise twin styles to set themselves apart from in-ring competition. Chris Lawson and Jake Cheng are two such examples of men. Chris is a kickboxer and submission specialist who before dedicating himself to the ring was a criminal prosecutions lawyer for Los Angeles City Hall. Jake Cheng is a martial artist and brawler from Hong Kong who supposedly leads the group claiming to be LA Pro's security staff. Both men promise hard-hitting action but who will prevail?
Smash N Grab VS 14K
Although there are no matches for the vacant LA Pro Co-Stars Championships on Hollywood Bowl 1: First Take, there will still be a chance for two hopeful teams to showcase their skills and build up some momentum in preparation for the crowning of tag team champions later on. Enter Smash N Grab and 14K, two teams that are as similar as cheese and chalk. Smash and Grab features a big man, little man dynamic of two South Central wrestlers, Smash and Grab respectively utilising their strengths to overcome obstacles. Meanwhile 14K, self-styled Chinese stars “Kaz” and “Chuo” both utilise a high-flying style in perfect tandem. Which mixture of styles will come out on top? Find out at First Take.
John Sawyer w/ The Boulder VS Benjamin King
These two newcomers are greener than salad but have taken vastly different approaches into breaking into the industry. John Sawyer is a self-styled wrestling purist and technical expert who doesn't believe in persona's or “flash” in wrestling. This begs the question of why he has 80's legend “The Boulder”, a man known for his showmanship in his corner but then stranger things have come to pass. Opposite him of course is Benjamin King, “Young Money”, a man who's attempts to make himself recognised in wrestling is to be as decadent and over the top as possible. Will style overcome substance?
Bambi Jay VS The Troll
What better way to kick off a show than with an exhibition of two of the most bizarre, chemistry lacking couples in wrestling? On the one hand you have Bambi Jay, a struggling Z-list actress and former cheerleader who openly professes to being utterly talentless but expects her pretty looks to get her a job in movies. In the opposite corner you have the kind of man who if it were not for his hatred of all things “normal” would probably blush and break apart when confronted by a pretty girl. Nevertheless, this odd couple will kick off proceedings to see who is well and truly best of the worst.
