I work my ass off and still rarely buy figures. How can most of you afford to buy full sets? Do you have no bills? Do you all live with your parents? Whats up here? I make decent money but i pay my own rent and bills and still only manage to get a few figures here and there. Mainly on my birthday and Christmas. So please tell me what is it you all do that you can afford to buy a full set sometimes 2 full sets. I have a 9 month old baby, wife, 2011 car, & mortgage...baby & wife come 1st, then bills, then whatever's left goes to my 1 & only hobby, wwe mattel elite figures...I generally get 4 sets of elites (not all at once, over time). 1 for moc, 1 for my little dude, 1 for loose display & 1 for play. I don't really ever buy myself anything, clothes when needed, new I phone when eligible for upgrade, occasional tv show on DVD. |

elite 17 went up on a monday (july 2nd). Remember we all expected it to go up during SDCC....but they put it up 9 days before. Which was odd. Elite 18 went up on a thursday (july 12). After the first day of SDCC C.O.T does not mean coming on tuesday. Nor do I expect to see stories about who got elite 19 pre-orders in the next couple days You may be right, I don't have the kind of memory like that, so kudos to you. I just remember a sh*t load of stuff going up SDCC Saturday night (which I may be confusing with 2011), my mind is very mushy and forgets things completely, and mashes together similar events. So my apology if I was wrong. Elite 11 & 12 were also on a Thursday. The first day of SDCC is always a thursday...and WWE is always on the 1st day. Not sure why I keep seeing ppl say that (such and such Elite series) went up for Pre-Order on a weekend. Far as I can tell, there haven't been any that did. Its not my memory. So much as just checking google, wfigs main site or rsctrevors previous posts. That and I keep a list of elite releases in a notepad file |

I swear I'm not tryin to be mean but why are you wasting your money on a full set of elite figs for a 9 month old? I think you have to be a parent to relate. I've got a 2 1/2 year old and while I don't buy whole sets for him only, my entire wrestling collection and masters of the universe classics are also his to play with. Yeah each of these figures cost $20+ but I'd like for him to have the same interest in toys and wrestling like I do. I don't let him play with my vintage G.I. Joe collection only because the accessories are small, but wouldn't you know it - my kid is more into Cars 2 and Monsters Inc... |
