Are there any storylines in the WWE that recieved complaints and bad press? the only one I can think of would be the Katie Vick one.

I guess The SandMan Crusicifxtion' is the most known about. Seeing as it lead to ECW's PPV Being canceled and Kurt Angle leaving the company.

An attack by men in mask's lead by him was shown on SmackDown the same day that we was attacked by Terrorist's. Can you imagen a child watching that episode of SmackDown? Terrorist's kill ton's of people in London, and then suddenly they're attacking Taker on SmackDown. |

So many that Mohammed Hassan got scrapped completely. Muhammed Hussan was one of the best things of WWE at that time! Agreed. The WWE f***ed up his character by turning him from an American who was disciminated against to a full fledged terrorist. Made no sense what so ever and killed the career of a very talented guy with a ton of potential. |

Yet, Hassan and Daivari cut a promo the week after about a news article. And it makes complete sense. Also, pretty sure if it went through, the Vince/Steph incest angle that's talked about in Vince's DVD would have given WWE critics a total field day. |

Sgt Slaughter out right betrayed the US when he became the Iraqi sympathizer before WM 7 and no one tried to kill him and that was when more people thought wrestling was real. |

Another funny thing is i recall they decided to move WM7 from LA Memorial Coliseum because of security concerns for Slaughter so they moved to LA Memorial Sports Arena. The reality is of low ticket sales. As for Hassan, he was a great heel, but the writers really took his character too far with having guys in ski masks choking out Taker with piano wire. But i do recall when SD aired following the London attacks, they had a disclaimer and even rated that episode TV-14...which they did in some cases if they have a certain angle or match that would be graphic. I think they even rated another one TV-14 when Lesnar pushed Zack Gowen down a flight of stairs in a wheelchair. |
