That Ricardo Lamas Vs Erik Koch fight had one of the most brutal finishes I've ever seen...

Are you going to this event? Sorry, just saw this. I was able to make a whole weekend out of it with my roommates. We went to the weigh ins/Q&A on Friday. I loved how laid back the Q&A was. There were a lot of pro-Sonnen fans there but Jones took everything in stride & legit seemed like he was having a great time. The weigh ins were fun. Nothing special, but always something enjoyable to take part in. Loved the fights. They were MUCH better than the last show here (Fox 2). Glad to see Guida & Bader win, but was a little bummed that Cerrone lost. We ended up having a hook up & stopped by Guida's after party for a few minutes. We were pretty much on the go for 3 days straight so we were exhausted. But he was great & thanked us for coming out.

I had Hioki winning the fight.
Anyone notice that on twitter right after the fight happened Dana agreed with someone who said Hioki was robbed because Guida didn't do anything in top position. Yet, when Dana was asked at the post-fight press conference what he thought about Guida's performance, he said he didn't watch the fight.

It was your typical Guida fight with the judges scoring it for him. It was a joke. Clay Guida... what a joke. ...I take it you're not a fan...

Clay Guida... what a joke. I'll be honest, I haven't been a fan of his "fight performance" over his last two outings, but he's a genuine nice guy. I've met him multiple times, his gym is 2 stop lights down from my house. He's someone who has always stayed loyal to the Chicago area, & for me that means a lot.

I said before the decision I could easily see Hioki get the win. Not only did Guida not land any damage from the ground, if I remember correctly he only got out of full guard once (which was into half guard) & still couldn't get anything going. I think he was awarded the fight on takedowns alone.

Hioki landed strikes standing the entire time and attacked to FINISH off his back while he was taken down. I shouldn't blame Guida's style THAT much, but come on. There's a reason he bounces around jumping.
