Hey guys, I've been reading some Batman lately, and I'd like to check out some Captain America stuff. Any recommendations? I'd like an origin story if possible, and then just whatever stories you think are the best! Thanks guys.

It's not an origin story but Ed Brubaker's Captain America run is pretty amazing.

Origin stories are a bit tricky as Cap's origin has been slightly re-worked since the 40's but remains so simple and well known there really are not any worthwhile takes on it in modern times.
The Brubaker run is currently considered the gold standard of Cap storytelling (esp. "Winter Solider"). Jumping into his run can be a little taxing if you have little knowledge of the characters though.
Vol.4 had some interesting stories as well which helped give Cap direction and showcase his relevance to a modern 21st century audience (unless you are a Republican judging by how FoxNews attacked the first story of that volume) .
Here are some TPBs to look for:
Marvel Masterworks Golden Age Captain America Comics, Vol. 1 -The first 4 issues of the Golden Age comic.
Captain America, Vol. 1: The New Deal -First story in Vol.4, deals with 9/11, terrorism and Cap.
Captain America: Winter Soldier, Book One Captain America: Winter Soldier, Book Two Captain America: Red Menace, Book One Captain America: Red Menace, Book Two -The start of the Brubaker stuff, from Civil War on it goes down hill.
