Time difference really is the main issue. Not only WWE has to consider East coast but West coast as well...if they wanted to air a PPV live from the UK, it would have to start around noon on a Sunday... which would be suicide considering Sunday is family day is usually families are out or at church. Maybe it's because I'm British but I've never really got this. Surely they can take one afternoon of the year to watch a new foreign PPV if they really are wrestling fans. If they are uber religious then they'll be off to church regardless. Otherwise what's to stop them spending some family time at home for once instead of being out? Go out later on if you have to. This UK PPV doesn't even have to be hugely important to the development of storylines. Just make it a glorified UK house show where titles actually can change hands, and offer it to Americans at a cheaper price. The WWE will not lose money on this 'cos they'll be over here on tour anyway. |
