THIS WEEKEND marks the return of one of the top 3 pound-for-pound fighters and the current UFC Welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre as he battles the current Interierm Welterweight champion, Carlos Condit. GSP hasn't fought since April of 2011 and Condit is coming off a big win in February against top-10 welterweight, Nick Diaz. Also, in the co-main event, another pair of welterweights will collide as top-10 fighters Martin Kampmann and Johnny Hendricks fight to see who can climb higher in the rankings in their division. Looks like a pretty okay card all-around. I expect the UFC's top PPV draws to continue to have slightly weaker cards than the ones who aren't quite as known (Jones, Silva). Can't wait to see how Georges looks after the ACL injury. UFC 154 "ST-PIERRE VS. CONDIT", 11/17/2012 (PPV/FX/Facebook.com Stream/SportsNet/ESPN-UK) Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec Canada1. Featherweight bout: Steven Siler vs. Darren Elkins 2. Bantamweight bout: Ivan Menjivar vs. Azamat Gashimov 3. Welterweight bout: Matthew Riddle vs. John Maguire 4. Featherweight bout: Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm 5. Lightweight bout: Sam Stout vs. John Makdessi 6. Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Rafael dos Anjos 7. Light Heavyweight bout: Cyrille Diabaté vs. Chad Griggs 8. Middleweight bout: Patrick Côté vs. Alessio Sakara 9. Featherweight bout: Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza 10. Middleweight bout: Nick Ring vs. Costa Philippou 11. Middleweight bout: Francis Carmont vs. Tom Lawlor 12. Welterweight bout: Martin Kampmann vs. Johny Hendricks 13. Welterweight Championship: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Carlos Condit (ic) *Fights 1-4 will air live on UFC's Facebook page at 6pm ET/3pm PT; fights 5-8 will air live on FX at 8pm ET/5pm PT; the 5-fight main card will start at 10pm ET/7pm PT LIVE on PPV.

im surprised siler/elkins is the nights opener... both guys are coming off 3 wins in a row, elkins just knocked off brandao. diabate/griggs should be fun as hell... plus the entire main card looks awesome. carmont is a beast.

I wonder how Griggs looks now that he's at 205. He's a brawler, so I see Diabate picking him apart on the feet easily and getting a TKO/KO in round 1.

Should be really interesting to see if GSP is affected by the lay-off/injury - and what Condit's game-plan will be... he did well against Diaz, frustrating him and not being drawn in to a slug-fest.
And apparently (well, according to some websites) Anderson will be at cage-side - and challenge GSP if he wins...

I'm hoping GSP can beat Condit... I don't want to see GSP Vs Silva at catchweight though. I want Anderson Silva to move down to Welterweight, Anderson is a real big dude.

You know Silva use to fight at Welterweight right? Seems like a real mis match, having it at WW makes me feel GSP stands some chance...

He can go to welterweight, he's already said he can make the weight, he would just rather a catchweight.

I just feel GSP is going to need all the help he can get against Anderson Silva, Silva is a big dude, stronger than he looks as shown when he tossed a big LHW around with in Bonnar...
Eh the skill and the size is going to be to much for GSP, I'd just feel if the fight was at WW, GSP might stand more of a chance with the negatives of a big weight cut for Anderson such as loss of power, cardio and so on.

Thru the UFC on Xbox app, the PPV can be bought for 30% off. HD is $36 i believe. Considering buying it on Xbox. Just figured I'd pass along the info to anyone interested.
I'm really split between GSP and Condit on who walks away w/ the title. Should be a good fight either way tho.

I'm really hoping GSP has a great showing. I'm not quite sure if he'll be able to finish Condit. So we may be looking at another decision.

I don't care about finishes, I just like a good competitive fight.

I totally agree with this ^. Anderson is so much bigger/stronger - he would be a heavy favorite against GSP at MW or even catch-weight. If he could get down to WW though (which he said he could), it would make things much more interesting (and he'd have the chance of being a 2-weight champ).

I would of told him not to worry about the weight cutting & make sure his leg was strong enough to get through a fight. Yeah, I'm still a little bitter about spending $300 to watch him curl up in a ball against Anderson Silva. I'm so excited for this fight & the thoughts of missing it are making me sick to my stomach. My sisters birthday is tomorrow & she's wanting to party in the city. Meaning I'm being looked at as the responsible brother to make sure she gets home safely since none of her friends can be trusted. I missed Silva/Bonnar because of some crap she pulled, so I'm really trying to figure out a way to handle both.
