TNA Turning Point: Sunday 11th November 2012...Mmm, I'm not extremely sold on the inclusion of tables in the layout. It sort of makes things look messy. AJ Styles and Samoa Joe must've been something we've seen already from these guys, I'm tired of this simplistic formula in which these two men go through every time they face off. It was cool in 2005. Decent opening contest though, Joe retaining was the better decision. Magnus facing Jeff Hardy? Good way to get Magnus over if he manages to retain the TNA World Television Championship, that's for sure. Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco, I don't know who I dislike more. I'm glad that Daniels and Kazarian managed to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships, the right call was made. Rob Van Dam and Bully Ray is a somewhat strange combination, but it is fitting, since both men came from ECW initially. Matt Morgan is a member of the Aces & Eights? I like that. Mr Anderson with the win against Joey Ryan was fine, but it did absolutely nothing for the newcomer, Ryan. Disappointing. Robbie E has always p*sse me off, I really don't care for him. King Mo taking him out was expecting, generic enhancement/introductory angle for Mo. Devon beating Sting? HAHAHA! Cool inclusions from Ray and Bully Ray, and the interference was all nice and such. Not a lot else to add. Tara beating Taeler Hendrix to retain the TNA Women's Knockout Championship was what it was. Only four minutes is short for the TNA Knockouts division, though. Even the WWE Divas go longer than that. Magnus retained the TNA World Television Championship? Awesome. Outside interference was intriguing, but another unclean finish ruins Magnus' credibility, if you ask me. He needs more clean wins to establish his serious, no-nonsense behavior. Up next, awesome match between Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode, and the interference from Scott D'Amore was interesting. I don't like the beer bottle being Roode's item of choice though. The disqualification finish ruined what could have been a potentially five-star match. Aces & Eights beating Jeff Hardy and Bully Ray was fine, it was what it was. These matches are going pretty short tonight, which I don't really like that much. Matt Hardy's back? Eh, great. And finally, a solid TNA World Heavyweight Championship defense by Austin Aries against James Storm. Overall, a decent pay-per-view, with far too many cheap finishes and overbooking. Short matches on the undercard too, which is a sign of having too much on one show: nine matches is a lot for a three hour show, I think you could have left Anderson/Ryan off of the card, turned it into a feud and saved Ryan's momentum all with one stone. But not bad, I'll be watching.
