But you'd have to think they had to get the okay, right? I mean, the DC line is still one of Mattel's biggest moneymakers and doing something to sour the relationship wouldn't be the best of ideas.

I think Feld takes care of that for them though. I'm not really sure how the licensing works since they have a TMNT truck and a Donkey Kong truck as well.

I was delighted to see that my local Supercenter got in a new case. For whatever reason, that one case was ALL I saw on the pegs (no freakin' way someone bought eight Scarlet Bandits). The silly gimmick Edge Glow Digger and Spectraflame...whoever it was were gone, but there sat a couple of Bad Habit trucks. Not just any Bad Habit, but the one that was the repainted "An Escalade" and that I saw live last year! Of course, I had to have it. Kind of bummed that it came with a white station wagon/hearse, but I'll deal.
While we're on the subject of seeing MJ live, they'll be here next week, and the list of trucks and drivers is finally out. I'll see AN Anderson (Adam) and Chad Fortune, so I'm totally going.
The BEST part, however, is that on the other side of Kansas City, Bigfoot 20 (electric) will be on display at a car show. Sounds like a pretty happenin' Saturday to me!

No, I'm stating that this particular truck... ...which was An Escalade once upon a time, is now available in toy form, which makes me happy, because I got to see it live and, to my knowledge, it's the only Bad Habit truck that used that particular body.

I finally got the Crash Cage to work right, and I gotta say, it's pretty fun watching trucks and the two included crush cars flyin' out along with the middle flame piece when it's smacked into...but at the same time, I'm kind of glad they veered the Monster Jam line away from that goofiness.
What trucks are YOU looking forward to this year? The obvious answer is Cap, but I'm also anticipating a Zombie, Mega Bite, Samson in red/white/blue, and, if my dreams come true, an older-style Digger using the body they made for GD the Legend. A more-accurate CRUSHSTATION~! (with tape over his claws) would be awesome, too.
...I wouldn't mind a couple more TMNT trucks, too, but I doubt that'll happen.

Higher Education is on the top of my wants list alongside the new deco for King Krunch and Wolverine

Ewww. ...I'll still buy it, anyway. I'll buy it too. It wouldn't have killed Mattel to make a new casting for King Krunch since It totally doesn't look like what the truck currently looks like.

I wish they would new molds. Same ones since the line started. Everybody wishes for that. I believe the reason they don't is to avoid licensing with Ford and GM which makes no sense due to Mattel having those licenses for their Hot Wheels and Matchbox brands

Good to see The Felon on the lineup for this year, Mark Schroeder makes the newer seasons of Monster Jam quite a bit more exciting to watch...especially in the rerun shown earlier this afternoon, where he did commentary as he was doing freestyle. I hope most of the trucks I want aren't Edge Glow or some crap, those are about the only trucks I see on the pegs three or more months after the case had been put on the pegs...and for good reason. EDIT: omahgaw, if they actually make Backwards Bob right...I may have to buy two. Same goes for El Toro Loco and Captain's Curse if they're this season's schemes. The rest I can either live without or already have (I see the spiked Max-D being hard as crap to find in stores...guess we'll see, eh?).

Don't get me started on the Edge Glow crap and the X-Ray trucks and Mud Trucks they're bad as it is. Mattel bothers me sometimes when it comes to these lines. For instance Sudden Impact Racing fired a bunch of drivers and 2 trucks Haven't raced in a few years, such as Michigan Ice Monster and Excaliber. Why do they bother releasing them if they haven't raced? I want Airborne Ranger really bad but I regret passing on the Mud Trucks one that I saw at AutoZone awhile back. Anyway I picked up the Batman with the crushable car and the new Bad Habit while I was at Target the other day.

Mud Trucks makes sense. Spectraflames makes sense (sometimes...GD 30th bodies = good, Cowboy = meh), Edge Glow...not so much. I don't mind the super-old releases because, well, Excaliber DOES look pretty sweet and Michigan Ice Monster runs the Bigfoot circuit, so it looks good in my display of those.
