Well yesterday I got up early to hit two Toys R Us stores, since I had heard people on here post that Elite 18 had made it's way into Connecticut. So I get to the farther one a little before opening. Head in, and when I get to the isle, I see an Elite 18, unfortunately it's Rey Mysterio. Needless to say I quietly cursed him, as I do everytime I see a flood of him on pegs. I noticed though they had some basics 24, sadly no AJs left, but I did grab Punk. I've got to say, I love the new smirking head scan for the figure.
After that, I stopped at the nearby Target, to find nothing, and head off to the other Toys R Us, which is basically on the way home, from the first. I'll be honest, my hopes were a little down, because I had just gotten the BOPPV Punk there Saturday, and figured if I was going to have luck, it would be at the first TRU. Well I get to the wrestling isle, and looking back at me, is a fresh stock of Elite 18. I won't lie when I first saw them, I had to hold back from giving a loud Daniel Bryan style YES! I end up picking up Lawler, Undertaker and Barrett, the three I wanted from the set. I was never planning to get Clay, but after seeing him, I may pick him up if I see him again.
And again, being truthful as I exited the store with my Barrage of Royal Evil, I had to hold back from doing a happy dance lol.
So I head back towards home, and stop at my two local Targets and Walmarts, with nothing there. As I'm leaving the Target at the mall, that's the next town over from where I live, I decided for the hell of it, to stop at Marshalls, that's in a plaza near the mall. Again, my hopes were low, because the last time I was there, they had nothing WWE. Get to the toys and get another surprise, DM Bret Hart and John Cena. Quickly grabbed Bret up. And while I'm one of those guys that hates seeing Cena figures all over the place, once I saw the figure in person, I had to admit, it was a good figure and picked it up too. This the first Cena I picked up, because I wanted the figure itself. I only have to others, one that came with the basic ring with Miz, that I got as a gift last year, and the other from the BOPPV, so I could complete Cole.
I really can't remember the last time I had such a good single day haul as this. So happy I was able to find E18, and the only thing that could have made the day better would have been to find AJ and/or Alicia Fox.
