After just watching a promo with HBK wearing his entrance attire for Badd Blood, I'm really disappointed in Mattel. It's majority black!! There's no excuse for them not to have a black base and paint silver studs. I don't think that would of broke the "budget". Look at E 18 Lawler's chest piece, black base painted with SILVER, gold and red. PLUS he even has chest hair. Just a big disappointment in my opinion. Exactly, HBK should have a higher decorated fig before lawler

HBK is a HUGE disappointment. Mattel screwed this one up, and everyone knows it. I pre ordered the whole set, and cant wait to get the whole set, but that HBK, COME ON. We are all happy just to be getting one from that era, but there are way too many mistakes. The attire for one, all black? Such a plain HBK attire. The entrance gear? He wore SO MANY sick outfits to the ring!!! WTF. NO CHEST HAIR???!!!!! NO KNEE PADS???!!!!! Maybe a little bit of scruff on the face would have been nice too this is why it doesnt matter. you still bought it.

With figures being so expensive you would think Mattel would not skip the little details like HBK's chest hair (and other things on HBK) or Kane's elbow pads. They'd be more expensive then.

Kane's missing pads, HBK's lack of detail and pads, Bryan's outdated attire and Lesnar's nonsculpted knee pads are seriously bringing this set down for me. I have to agree. I also think Elizabeth's sculpt looks nothing like her and I cannot for the life of me understand why they gave her a fist rather than two open hands. I don't think this set is nearly as great as some people are making it out to be.

I think they've all had either the fist like this Miss Elizabeth or the weapon-holding hand. They probably couldn't justify a new hand sculpt when most people don't care about it -- judging by the things they had to leave off or undercook on the Shawn Michaels figure, this series was already a stretch, budget-wise. They probably should've just painted the designs on Kane rather than sculpt it all, that would've left some money over for Michaels, at least.

We all go on about this budget thing but look at other brands of figures and see how they hold up on terms of material, paint and plastic use for the price they charge.
Borderlands figures have excellent paint details Sulvainien (?) family uses loads of cloth material for there detailed accessories TMNT uses load of plastic to make there figures. ^ just through my limited knowledge of other figures at the moment...
And there all a lot cheaper than Mattels Elites.
I May have to create a topic on the subject...

Glad I pre-ordered HBK for my 1997 collection but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit disappointed in the figure.

I've come to expect perfection from mattel by this point. Especially for an attitude era HBK. Just disappointing.

What is the distribution process? Where do they purchase materials and what bulk discount do they get? What is the production run on each figure? I'm not saying I'm happy or disappointed with this set, but if you're going to make a complaint comparing it to other companies you have to know the details.

I like all the figures.
Honestly I think Jakks 1997 HBK from the RSC Exclusive with Bret is better though.

TL;DR IMO they should have molded michaels' chest gear in black, not silver....they could have done it exactly how they did Demolition's gear and WOWOWOWOWWOWOWOW i am so PUMPED to get LESNAR!!!

Liz is okay, not worth £40 mind, will wait for retail and pick her up a bit cheaper.
Ziggler is superb.

I agree with others, Wish Liz had 2 open hands. Cant change it out obvs without painting another divas hands....
Micheals is disapointing, The Chest Gear looks Cheap, The Euro belt is awesome, he's missing chest hair. Mattels commented on adding chest hair to HBK figures yet they never do it? why?
Lesnars head scan is perfect, Kane and Dolph look bad ass, Daniel is ok but could be better
Really tho that chest gear on HBK looks cheap.... like when you bought a toy as a kid and the accessories were all one solid color..... We've all come to expect the best quality from Mattel by now, I think if its not gonna be done right then just dont do it
