I think Duncan is about as sure a first ballot Hall of Famer you are going to find. Greatest Power Forward of all time. Combined with his College career since it is the Basketball Hall of Fame he is a no doubter. Everyone else you listed are Hall of Famers also, not criticizing at all. I could see Allen and Pierce not getting in a first ballot. Allen is similar to R. Miller, and he didn't get in first go I don't think. I could be wrong. Duncan is just a slam dunk, probably Dirk too. Ooooh, I dunno about that one. I feel like he is, and I think on about every list he is too. Obviously, it is all just opinion and no one is right or wrong. I think Malone is up there, and E. Hayes, but I place Duncan ahead of both.

NFL - Manning, Brady, Brees, Lewis, Gonzalez and probably more I'm forgetting
Possibly Brian Urlacher and Julius Peppers
NBA - Kobe, Shaq, Garnett, Nash, Kidd, Dirk, LeBron, Ray Allen
Possibly Pierce, Wade, Yao (more for helping to grow the NBA internationally than for his little playing time), Melo, Elton Brand (dominat PF during his prime), Allen Iverson
MLB - A few guys, but two who are coming up in the next few years that come to mind are Griffey Jr. and Frank Thomas

Elton Brand (dominat PF during his prime), I don't agree that Brand even is a HOF player let alone a first ballot one.

Elton Brand is definitely not a HOFer in any sense of the term.
Kobe, Lebron, Kidd, and maybe a few others slipping my mind are going to be HOFers when their careers are over in the NBA.
In MLB, Jeter, Rivera, Griffey, Thome, Thomas, Pujols, Cabrera are all going to be first ballot guys. With the way this year's vote went though, who the hell knows.
