Let me just start off by saying for the last month and a half I've been very stressed, depressed, sad & angry...because a week before Sandy hit my borther-in-law was back in Hackensack University hospital. He had been fighting bone marrow cancer for the past thirteen years (which was 8 years longer than they had given him) Anyway this past year his numbers spiked again and he was told there was nothing else they could do for him. So he started doing clinical trials and the last one shut down his kidneys and landed him in the hospital. Since he was in the hospital he ended getting pnemonia and having a mild heart attack. Well this past Wednesday they told both he and my sister he was never going to get better and would die soon and transfered him to a hospice in Wayne NJ late Thursday. My sister told me where it was and I said I'd be down this morning to see him again once I got my truck back...well, he passed away yesterday morning. I don't know why but my way of dealing with loss has always been I get very angry and then need to go out a purchase something for some odd reasons. Anyway this is what I picked up today while trying to blow off steam. With the exception of E18 Clay everything was stuff I had really been wanting especially the HHH & the DC set(which I've been looking for for 6+ months), but as of now I really have no interest in opening any of it. Maybe that'll change Christmas morning, but I doubt it. Sorry about the venting, but I had to get it off my chest...and let people know why I've not been as active over the last 2 months. As far as the figures go I just was at the Palisades Center Target where they just pulled a case of e18 from the stockroom so I got my Taker and extra Lawler. Everyone else in the case is on the pegs with an e15 Rey and E17 Cena. As for Basics of was just series 23. There's also 3 more cases of Elites in the stockroom as the employee said there was 32 in back when he went to pull the case.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy to deal with the death of a close relative or friend. It seems like your Brother-inlaw has had quite the battle for his life. You can assure yourself that his suffering is all over and he is in a much peaceful place now. Good luck, brother and Stay positive!

I'm sorry for your loss, and wish you well in dealing with your anger.
On a figure related note, did you happen to see the Azrael Batman/Batman pack with the Lanterns pack?

Thank you. It is tough, but I have to look at it as he is at peace now.
And thechon no they didn't have the Batman set. I hit 4 TRU's today and other than the one Lantern set all I saw were the Shazam/Black Adam set. The Bat set has been tops on my list for ages. (at least 6 months) Here's hoping I find two of that set at some point.

Nothing wrong with a little retail therapy. It's obvious you love collecting wrestling figures, so there's nothing wrong with buying some to try to pick yourself up. There's a lot of cool stuff in the world to enjoy, but there is also pain and loss, which affects all of us.
Just try to be thankful for the cool stuff you found, and especially for the fact that your brother in law lived 8 years longer than they thought he would. That's pretty awesome. Sorry for your loss, though.
And luckily you didn't just find two leftover Reys from E18 - you got the only living breathing Funkasaurus in captivity today!

Actually all they had from E18 was Cara (X2), Brodus & Barrett. I really only wanted Taker Barrett & another Lawler from E18, but holding Barrett in had I saw he had the d@mn "tights" thighs molded in flesh color like the first Barrett & DiBiase Elites...So I passed

Thank you. I used to bust his chops all the time and tell him he was Stallone's twin from the eyes up. lol As for the WM figures my TRU didn't have them (they said they'll be on tomorrow truck) So I went down to NJ for them.

Times like theses figure collecting really feels special. While it's only a hobby it helps in more ways than just having fun. Sorry for the loss, but time heals all wounds.
Great purchases, liking the new Announce Table figure set!

sorry to hear about your loss. everyone deals with things their own way,and i've done that before as well. when my grandfather died back in 1995, went out and bought a ton of Spawn toys. when my father-in-law died this past June, went out and bought some The Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters. so i understand. it's a way of coping, and a way to take your mind of what has happened, even for a little while.

During tough times keep positive, in time all wounds heal. I can relate to your shopping for anger relief. I notice it eases the pain. Great finds by the way.
